Prefect Elections This Wednesday

The campaign speeches have concluded today, and

now it is time for the people to cast their votes.

Students from grades 2-6 and staff will put pen to

ballot paper tomorrow morning, and our prefects and

captains for 2017 will be duly announced shortly

thereafter.

Presentation Day

Practise for Grade 6 and 2017 Captains

Students in Grade 6, as well as the newly elected

School Captains will travel to the RSR on Tuesday

for a practise session. Transport is by bus, departing

12:10pm.

Ceremony and Celebration

The Presentation Day ceremony will be held on

Wednesday, December 7 at the Deni RSL Club,

commencing 11am and finishing around 12:30pm. This

is a great way to celebrate all that is great about

our school, as well as look back on its key events.

This year’s event will include performances from our

2 resident house bands. All welcome to attend!

We Value Values

Well done to the following students who last

week received awards for being top value at:

‘Sharing’

Xavier Johnstone—being a caring and

sharing friend

Lucy Willis—always sharing in class

Charlie Bull—being a caring, sharing

friend

Darby Watson—always willing to share

with others

Jemma Smith—having a lovely caring

attitude at school

April Weir—using her leadership skills at

Rock climbing in Canberra

Ellie Gavel—for happily sharing her skills

in Technology

This week’s value will be: ‘Caring’

Outstanding student, Lucy Pitt is yet

another addition to the school’s growing list

of SUPERSTARS, after receiving her 5th

GOLD award. Lucy’s trophy will be

presented on Presentation Day. Legend!

Yes!-It’s true! North’s ‘Battle of the Bands’ winning

rockers, ‘SHHOK n’ SHAE’ have been confirmed as

a major signing for what could be a career-making

gig at the Deni North Presentation Day.

Along with fellow, Rock Gods, ’The Ornamentals’

they will hit the stage, shake their groove thing

and bring the house down.

In the interests of safety, patrons are therefore

advised to wear helmets.

Grade 6 and their teams of helpers must have been over the moon following the

runaway success of this year’s ‘Pedlars’ Parade’. The fun event brought out many a

smile and raised a whopping $969.90, which Grade 6 will now use to purchase a

farewell gift to the school.

Many thanks to Miss Smith for her brilliant organisation!

Grade 5 and 6 cricket enthusiasts had

a stroke of luck when mother nature

kept the rain away for Thursday’s Big

Bash.

From all reports, it was a great day,

with highlights being Mackie’s liking

for ducks, Chloe Paton’s double hat-

trick and Melissa Hamilton’s

passionate devotion to the game.
