Required Warning!

Hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain inherent limitations. Unlike an actual performance

record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, since the trades have not actually been

executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors,

such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are

designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to

achieve profits or losses similar to those shown.

HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS HAVE MANY INHERENT LIMITATIONS, SOME OF WHICH ARE DESCRIBED

HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS AND THE ACTUAL RESULTS SUBSEQUENTLY ACHIEVED BY ANY

PARTICULAR TRADING PROGRAM.

ONE OF THE LIMITATIONS OF HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS IS THAT THEY ARE GENERALLY PREPARED

WITH THE BENEFIT OF HINDSIGHT. IN ADDITION, HYPOTHETICAL TRADING DOES NOT INVOLVE FINANCIAL RISK,

AND NO HYPOTHETICAL TRADING RECORD CAN COMPLETELY ACCOUNT FOR THE IMPACT OF FINANCIAL RISK IN

ACTUAL TRADING. FOR EXAMPLE, THE ABILITY TO WITHSTAND LOSSES OR TO ADHERE TO A PARTICULAR

TRADING PROGRAM IN SPITE OF TRADING LOSSES ARE MATERIAL POINTS WHICH CAN ALSO ADVERSELY AFFECT

ACTUAL TRADING RESULTS. THERE ARE NUMEROUS OTHER FACTORS RELATED TO THE MARKETS IN GENERAL OR

TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ANY SPECIFIC TRADING PROGRAM WHICH CANNOT BE FULLY ACCOUNTED FOR IN

THE PREPARATION OF HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS AND ALL OF WHICH CAN ADVERSELY AFFECT

ACTUAL TRADING RESULTS.

NEXGEN SOFTWARE’S ONLINE TRAINING ROOMS return to top

Nexgen’s educational chat rooms are designed to teach traders how to read the software properly

though interactive feedback. Nexgen will be answering software questions & critique on clients’

simulated trading of software from 9 am ET - 12 Noon ET and a basic education 101 class in the

afternoon. Our open dialogue forum is designed so you can ask questions, post your own charts, and

trade executions for feedback. Live trades will be taken, and more importantly a complete break down

the interpretation of the software and rules for a trade are discussed.

Join the room from the education page on our site. http://nexgent3.com/education/

Trading is the most important thing you can do when learning to trade. SIMULATION trading and (lots of simulation before live money) with posting those trades in class for review will exponentially accelerate your learning curve. The class will help you learn to recognize trades before they happen and hone your skills as a trader by placing and managing trades. You must prove your understanding of the plan by making simulated trades that are highly profitable. Only when you are completely comfortable taking the correct trades and finished fine tuning your own version of the plan, will you be able to make real money trades. DO NOT TRADE LIVE MONEY UNTIL YOU HAVE A WRITTEN PLAN THAT YOU CAN GUARANTEE YOURSELF IS A WINNING PLAN & YOU CAN GUARANTEE PROPER EXECUTION OF THE PLAN!

NINJA CRASHES EVERY TIME I OPEN IT – DON’T PANIC THIS IS USUALLY AN EASY FIX return to top

1. A CORRUPT WORKSPACE – MOST COMMON ISSUE AND SEE “A” BELOW TO FIX

2. EXPIRED– usually this means it is time to pay for service or your payment method was expired

and will need updating. You should be emailed prior to expiring cards, check email on file.

3. SECURITY VIOLATION – rare but sometimes thing stick in the internet. You can reboot your

machine, execute your “user file” https://www.screencast.com/t/jbrumezfWSRj (ONLY ONCE)

4. NEXGEN SERVERS ARE DOWN (RARE) – please feel free to skype or email Tech Support or John

Novak. FYI there is no need to call or text or email multiple times. We see the first one.

“A” a corrupted workspace will cause Ninja Trader to crash when launching the platform. You will need

to keep this workspace from automatically launching when Ninja Trader is launched.

Browse to Documents>Ninja Trader 7>Workspaces and delete the “_Workspaces.xml” file. This will

result in Ninja Trader launching only a single untitled workspace the next time that it is launched. Then

you can try to open your backup workspace. Or create your charts from scratch or reload templates and

workspace from the resource page on the site. https://nexgent3.com/resources/

Ninja did not automatically connect to the data when I launched the platform. I receive the following

message when I try to connect to my data manually. “LOGIN FAILED; UNSPECIFIED LOGIN ERROR”

It is likely that your free trial to the data has expired. You can sign up for a new Username and Password

for your trial here https://ninjatrader.com/

You can also open a very small account and pay small monthly brokerage fees for data subscriptions.

This is normally the best option if you are going to sim for months prior to trading live.

T3 Fibs ProTrader Fibonacci Support and Resistance return to top

The Fibonacci support and resistance areas Nexgen software will plot are generated using Fibonacci

projections and retracements from thousands of pivots and up to 10 timeframes of data. Nexgen’s

algorithms automatically do this work for you. Many traders are familiar with Fibonacci use and we

have included a few examples of each type of calculation used in the following examples.

Page 22: Nexgen Indicator & Ninja Trader Basics Guide. User Guide.pdfNINJA 7 – USE CHART TOP LEFT BUTTON TO CHANGE DATA - go to the top right edge of your chart and use drop down menu and

22

T3 Fibs ProTrader will do calculation from 1000’s of swings over 30 day, build synthetic higher

timeframes and then do all of those possible combinations.

23

The results of our filtering algorithm in the T3 Fibs ProTrader will only display Fibonacci areas that have

the highest concentration of the most powerful and likely to cause a bounce Fibonacci area as a simple

ed or blue line.

24

T3 Trigger Lines return to top

The T3 Trigger lines are the indicator that you will use to determine trend, momentum and if your

Fibonacci levels will hold or break. When both triggers are in same direction you can do a trend trade.

When the small and large triggers come together, you must follow Fibonacci support or resistance areas.

The location of the small triggers above or below the large triggers will determine the background color

and help to define a potential change in trend.

25

Nexgen Dynamic Renko Bar Type – return to top

The BAR is generated based on range (minimum price fluctuation) from high to low, as such there is zero

relationship to time. 1 dynamic Renko bar may take seconds or 20 minutes depending on the volatility.

Bar structure smooths the data, removing any noise. NOTE: THIS BAR STRUCTURE MAKES EVERY

MARKET APPEAR THE SAME! WHEN YOU LEARN THE RULES ON 1 MARKET, YOU CAN TRADE ANY

MARKET & ANY TIMEFRAME CONFIDENTLY!

REVERSAL PRICE (MARKER) will be denoted on each chart with a line label and price (WHITE). These are

plotted on the charts for you so that you will know at what price the market will make a reversal.

Page 26: Nexgen Indicator & Ninja Trader Basics Guide. User Guide.pdfNINJA 7 – USE CHART TOP LEFT BUTTON TO CHANGE DATA - go to the top right edge of your chart and use drop down menu and

26

Mid Band Moving Average Use return to top

Nexgen will use a 55-period moving average AKA “mid band” or 165 period moving average for support

and resistance, these areas will be used for "Trend Trades" when trigger lines agree

T-3 Fib2Fib Oscillator

This proprietary oscillator will help to define trend trade retracement levels. The rule is to wait for the

upper or lower 25% of the oscillator range to be met on your smaller charts as you look to initiate a

trade with the trend as defined by very strong triggers on the larger charts and support or resistance.

Page 27: Nexgen Indicator & Ninja Trader Basics Guide. User Guide.pdfNINJA 7 – USE CHART TOP LEFT BUTTON TO CHANGE DATA - go to the top right edge of your chart and use drop down menu and

27

T-3 Dvg Potential (divergence potential) return to top

This indicator will plot “discrepancies” in the Fibonacci retracement value between price swings and T3

Macd BB lines indicator swings. It will plot negative #’s when there is divergence. NOTE: size of # does

not matter. When there is a divergence high a magenta line will be plotted from that high along with (-#)

Cyan lines will plot after a divergence low is established with (-#).

Some of the many ways that divergences are used in entry and exit management.

1. If multiple charts have divergence then the trend will generally reverse and you should use

caustion or avoid any further trend trades.

2. Divergences on price that are directly at Fibonacci areas will usually stop the trend and cause a

reversal. We refer to these a termination conditons. Fibs + Divegence is a key pattern to

recognize as they happen.

3. The first divergences without the benefit of “areas” usually help get the market back to a trade

spot. SEE EXAMPLE HERE of helper vs termination divergence.

4. Divergence at Fibonacci areas * with a “favorable trigger line” will determine the entry points

for edge of Fibonacci trades or pivot stop out with the trend trades.

5. If major divergence are broken, the trend will remain strong until the synthetic trigger line cross

against the strong trend.

6. Please refer to the trading plan for uses of the T3 Divergence potential indicator.

GLOSSARY OF COMMONLY USED TERMS return to top

ONE TO ONES- “yellow dots” 100% alternate Fibonacci projection – CLICK FOR EXAMPLE

DIVERGENCE – compare macd bb swing vs price – CLICK FOR EXAMPLE

BINGO – you will hear this term many times when a profit target has been reached and filled on a

winning trade.

TTFM – A phrase used to decribe a consensus to take the “freaking” money AKA “exit a position”.

HBNS SYNDROME- refers to John Novak’s state of mind. “ HAPPY BUT NEVER SATISFIED” aka always

looking for a better way to do something. This is a good thing as it facilitates change for the good.

PLEASE POST PIX OR QUESTIONS – this is when John Novak the developer urges users of the chat room

to participate in their own education by asking any question. Do not be scared or intimidated and post

questions no matter how “trivial” you think they may be. Someone else has the same question.

LONG - BUY – GO LONG -ENTER LONG – to take a position in the market when you anticipate that prices

will be going up over the near term.

SHORT SELL GO SHORT – to take a postion in the market when you anticipate that prices will be going

down in the near term.

HIGH PROBABILITY- you will hear this term used when almost every indicator on every chart is in

agreement with rules for a trade.

MEDIUM PROBABILITY- this is when most indicator line up for a trade but a small issue exists.

LOW PROBABILTY- this when when you have a very low chance of winning a trade. Usually you will see

the trade setup on small charts but the larger charts “hurt” your chance of winning.

TERMINAL AREA / CONDITION- this is any condition that happens on the charts that will have a high

probability that the trend will end. This is a good condtion for “counter trend” trading and is also the key

condition to know when to “stop” taking trend trades in the direction of the trend.

STOP – RISK – this is the price or amount of money you will be risking on the trade.

TICKS – PIPS POINTS– this refers to the smallest price increment for an instrument. Usually used in the

phrase, “I made 20 ticks on that trade or I lost 8 ticks on that trade”.

TARGET PROFIT EXIT - this is the price at which you will exit your position with a win hopefully.

BE - BREAK EVEN – NO RISK – BE+1 .. this is a term used in the chat room that represents the fact that

you have now moved your protective stop in a trade to a no risk situation.

Page 29: Nexgen Indicator & Ninja Trader Basics Guide. User Guide.pdfNINJA 7 – USE CHART TOP LEFT BUTTON TO CHANGE DATA - go to the top right edge of your chart and use drop down menu and

29

GRACEFUL EXIT - when the condions have changed against your trade position and you take and exit

that is not a full loss. You must manually take yourself out of the trade when condtions change for this

to be true.

“SYNTHETIC” FIBS / TRIGGERS / DIVERGENCES / MID BANDS - any indicator that came from a different

chart that is plotted on the chart you are looking at.

FIBONACCI SUPPORT – refers to a blue line that runs horizontal on the chart.

FIBONACCI RESISTANCE -refers to a red line that runs horizontal on the chart.

HVA SUPPORT/ RESISTANCE (LINE) – this refers to the market flow GREEN or MAGENTA lines generated

from white paint bars on the range based T3 Market Flow chart. Usually very helpful in defnining

support or resistance with trigger lines crossed in the same direction with the trend.

MID BAND – green or magenta moving average line running in the middle. 55 period Moving average

SUPPORT (general) any area that might cause the market to bounce up. This may include but not

limited to mid bands trigger lines or fibonacci areas that may cause a bounce for entry or profit target.

RESISTANCE (general) any area that might cause the market to bounce down. This may include but not

limited to mid bands trigger lines or fibonacci areas that may cause a bounce for entry or profit target.

1:1’s ( ONE TO ONE’s) – a Fibonacci projection of 100%. One swing distance =’s another. These are

represented mostly by YELLOW DOTS or Magenta dots and may represent general support or resistance.

DIVERGENCE DIVERGENCE LINE- this is what the (-#’s) are called that plot on top or bottom of bars.

These represent a divergence between T3 Macd BB lines and Price. Please refer to trading plan for uses.

TRIGGERS, SMALL TRIGGERS, LARGE TRIGGERS, SYNTHETIC TRIGGERS, 14-2 Triggers, 8-2 large triggers

all of these are descriptive of T3 Trigger Lines. Either from a particular chart or particular line.

SMALL TRIGGERS are the fastest closest to the bar trigger lines. They use a 20 period or bar average

LARGE TRIGGERS are the medium fast triggers and they use a 38 period or bar average.

SYNTHETIC TRIGGERS – generally much larger than small triggers or large triggers and this set of

triggerlines comes from a much larger chart. These triggers usually “STAIRSTEP” up and down.

STRONG LOOK- #1 LOOK (trigger lines) – This is when all triggers lines are strongly crossed up or down.

The small trigger will ALWAYS BE ABOVE all of the other when strong #1 look is up and the small triggers

will ALWAYS BE BELOW all of the other trigger when #1 down. See Trading Plan

TRANSITION LOOK (trigger lines) – This is when the small triggers CROSS ABOVE OR BELOW all other

triggers for the first time. This will start a trend trade and have specific management implications.

Page 30: Nexgen Indicator & Ninja Trader Basics Guide. User Guide.pdfNINJA 7 – USE CHART TOP LEFT BUTTON TO CHANGE DATA - go to the top right edge of your chart and use drop down menu and

30

WEAKING or INSIDE LOOK (trigger lines)- the market is usually trending and this is when the small

triggers start to get “inside” the larger triggers. This represents the need to read the Fibonacci support

and resistance areas to know if you should keep trading with the trend or stop. See Trading Plan

RANGE BOUND – CHOPPY – CHOP- (trigger lines and market) – this is when the small triggers are

BETWEEN the large and synthetic triggers. This also refers to when the market has no trend.

TREND – This is the general market direction either up or down

TREND TRADE – this is buying pullbacks during and “up trend” & selling pullbacks during a “down trend”

EDGE TRADE – COUNTER TREND TRADE – this is when the trader will place a trade at the prior high or

low in an attempt to “sell the top” or buy the bottom”.

PIVOT STOP OUT – AKA DOUBLE TOP/BOTTOM – this is when the market has made a top or bottom

and the market soon after retests the high or low price (sometimes trading just beyond it) then

reversing. This language is used in edge trading or when looking for entries at prior highs or lows.

PIVOT – REVERSAL – REVERAL BAR- this is when the market puts in a bar that is in the opposite

direction. This is normally the time and place at which the STOP ORDER is moved to lessen risk.

REVERSAL PRICE (MARKER) will be denoted on each chart with a “gold” label and price.

Example Simple Trading Plan return to top

Review Trading Plan on the education page to learn basics along with videos CLICK HERE the following is

a generalized outline to help you organize your thoughts when you right your own plan. This plan is for

educational purposes only. You assume all responsibility for your own plan and trades and agree that

Nexgen nor any of it’s employees are giving you personalized trading advice.

*You are required to construct your own personal plan in words and pictures so that when you take a

trade, your indicators will look the same for each of your trades. It is important you have pictures you

use to compare your live trades against the pictures in your plan. Generally, it is good idea to document

at least 10 -20 examples of each of your setups. Finding (studying) your setups historically will help

remember the looks when you see them live. Annotate your rules on every one of your charts when you

take a trade and save the picture to your spreadsheet. You will become a confident self-sufficient trader

that can “self correct” if you make a mistake. Post pix in class for feedback and real-time critique. Please

have your plan pix handy when in live trading room so we will be able to ask which rule you intended to

follow. You will quickly follow your rules this way. The following is to help you get started.

1. Apply the 14-2 two trigger line templates to your chart and then circle all the bars that have

two strong triggers and tails. These circles will be applied to your other charts.

2. You will then go to the 5-1 chart and on the first bar towards the possible tail find the spot

where support and resistance meet the triggers and draw a box.
