MAYOR’S MESSAGE New playground at Roseville Last weekend I was privileged to declare open a fabulous new playground on the corner of Malga and Griffith Avenues, Roseville Chase. The playground has been built by the volunteers of the Rotary Club of Roseville Chase, with the assistance of Council, the state government through local member Jonathan O’Dea, community members and many supportive businesses. It has transformed what was an unused piece of
leftover road reserve into a tranquil and happy place for families to meet and children to play. Congratulations to everyone involved in this great project!
Back to the 50s FestivalCongratulations are also in order for last weekend’s 50s Festival held for the first time at St Ives Showground. Those who came were treated to classic movies and cars, vintage market stalls, delicious food, fashion parades and dance workshops. I thoroughly enjoyed the authentic atmosphere and was pleased to present the prizes for the best dressed and the best vintage car.
Gordon Cricket Club I was delighted to attend the AGM of one of Ku-ring-gai’s oldest sporting clubs last week. Gordon Cricket Club celebrated its 110th anniversary and I congratulate the new
President and office-bearers who will continue the Club’s proud history. Registrations for summer cricket open soon throughout Ku-ring-gai – visit hkhdca.com.au to find out more.
