• NFC technology to improve supporter’s experience

• Ticket issuance and top-up through the Club’s partners network

• 3 steps:

Ticketing - Season ticket control at matches entrance (2010)

Loyalty - Across the Club’s partners network (2011)

Marketing - Through the MNO’s special plan (TBD)

1 club, 15’000 members, during the whole season

5 – The NFC phone, for both ticket and control

• The NFC phone is used for both supporters’

access and control.

• The phone is also capable to read contactless

smartcard (season ticket) and eTicket (one

time entry )

• The phone displays tickets’ data:

– Ticket validity

– The zone authorized

– Loyalty program and supporter’s profile

• The controllers use also the phone for

checking e-tickets validity

• The phone sends in real-time (GPRS/3G) the

information about supporters’ entrance

6 – Smart card and e-ticket to manage the transition

• The NFC architecture allows the clubs to

issue several different form factors

– NFC phone for already equipped

supporters

– Contactless smartcard season tickets

– RFID paper-based one time tickets

• Convenient for managing the transition

before massive NFC phones roll-out

(waiting for a 100% NFC infrastructure

could weaken the entire model)

• Leveraging with the existing Club

partners’ network

• Paper based eTickets are a useful

advertisement support

7 – The back office

• The back office is entirely available online.

• Used by the Club to administrate in real time

the ticket system as well as NFC phone and

season ticket (CMS)

• The back office offers several features:

– It displays every member’s card data (owner’s

information, type of the seasonal membership,

validity date, …) and his status (activated, revoked,

lost, …)

– It displays in real-time the present members’ list

for every match (member’s number, entrance

time, zone)

– Real-time monitoring of supporters’ arrival

– Controllers’ NFC phones activation/deactivation

– Provides statistics per match and per season
