Webinar: Practicing Management Without a License: Consequences of Careless LeadershipWe all realize that the quality of a leader’s behavior impacts, either positively or negatively, the performance of employees. But have we really considered the unintended consequences of poor leadership? Employees who don’t understand their supervisor’s instructions or expectations won’t perform to their potential. Leaders who don’t communicate vision and rationale for change find lowered morale in their employee ranks. This failure to lead effectively results in reduced productivity, job satisfaction and ultimately, the company’s bottom line. So leaders, new or experienced, brush up on your skills and earn your license to lead!

SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS

Create Free Presentations with PreziHow many times have you suffered through a slideshow presentation during which the presenter read text on the slides to the audience? Painful, right? Break free from the linear slideshow format! Prezi.com is a free web-based presentation design tool that allows placement of text, graphics and other elements on a blank ‘canvas’. The presenter then runs the show so that it appears like a camera lens zooming, panning and rotating around the canvas to highlight detail or provide a big picture view of the subject. Prezi can be downloaded, presented remotely live, embedded in a website, or shared via the URL. There is no software to download or install. You will also learn the best practices for creating presentations using any software. This class is well-suited for business people, teachers, students, or anyone else who creates presentations.
