Desert in the world “Sahara” It is the world longest river at 4,000 miles. The Nile begins as two separate rivers, Blue

Nile and White Nile. The Nile had regular flooding because of

melting snow and heavy rains.

Nile River Valley Egyptians were successful farmers. Reed plant “Papyrus” was a useful resource. Egyptians harvest baskets, sandals, and

river rafts. Papyrus was a paper maker ( writing paper)

for Egyptian.

Nile River Valley Egyptians form of writing is “Hieroglyphics” Made up of Hundreds of picture symbols. Symbols stood for objects and ideas. Scribe were the writers who carved

hieroglyphics into stone. Scribe later wrote on papyrus.
