The Nissan Patrol brings with it the technology, design and forethought needed to tackle almost any terrain. For instance the All MODE 4x4 technology allows the driver to switch between a range of different modes, including sand, on-road, rock and snow with the push of a button. Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control systems give the driver the utmost confidence to take the road less travelled. When that road gets that much tougher, the driver can engage the electronic rear differential lock with the push of a button. When it comes to the Nissan Patrol, capability is everything.

OFF-ROAD CAPABILITY

The Hydraulic Body Motion Control (HBMC) suspension system has been implemented to ensure remarkably low body roll when powering through corners and provides better traction through rough terrain. HBMC plays both the role of shock absorbers and stabiliser bars, allowing for full wheel travel, meaning your wheels will stay firmly on the ground when you’re off the beaten track. The HBMC system provides this balance and superior cornering by monitoring force and then distributing pressure to either the outer or inner double wishbone suspension system. This HBMC system delivers a smoother ride, safer cornering and overall enhanced stability.

POWER AND PERFORMANCEThe Nissan VK56VD 5.6 litre V8 Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) engine gives the Patrol power to overcome just about anything. The engine features Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL) technology and is capable of delivering 298kW of power and an exceptional 560Nm of torque. 3,500kg* of braked towing capacity delivers unrivalled practicality to the driver. A seven-speed automatic transmission ensures that the raw power of this incredible engine is put to good use.

The Nissan Patrol is serious about safety. Packed with the latest safety technology like Around View® Monitor (AVM)^, and front and rear parking sensors, the Nissan Patrol is designed to keep you and your passengers safe. In addition, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) will keep you in control of the vehicle at all times. When engaged, VDC will ensure you maintain your intended path during emergency situations by applying individual braking pressure to each wheel in conjunction with the engine’s ability to automatically reduce power. The Nissan Patrol range is equipped with six airbags including driver and front passenger front and side SRS airbags, as well as curtain airbags.

BLIND SPOT WARNING Smart technology like the innovative Blind Spot Warning and Intervention system detects vehicles in your blind spot and alerts you via an audible alarm. If, for instance you continue to change lanes and the car in your blind spot also continues to proceed, the system will initiate, gently braking one side of the vehicle, bringing your vehicle back to your original lane position, well out of harm's way.

FORWARD COLLISION WARNINGOn the Nissan Patrol Ti-L model, you’ll feel at ease with the Forward Collision Warning system (FCW). Using a front distance sensor, FCW will detect the risk of a forward collision and prompt the driver to brake with an alarm. When the system judges that a collision cannot be prevented, Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA) is activated to help the driver reduce the rear-end collision speed by applying the brakes.
