earlier as in the case of down loaded tender from website in the form as detailed at Para 7above.

9.0 Tenders, which placed in sealed envelope, in the manner detailed at Para 11 below, will be

received by the Executive Engineer, CD-III, Blore 41 up to 15.00 hours on 25-06-2007

and will be opened by him or his authorized representative in his office on the same day at15.30 hours. The envelope containing the Earnest Money along with the cost of the tender as

applicable in case of down loaded tender document shall be opened first. The tenders of

tenderer, who do not deposit the Earnest Money along with cost of tender, shall not beopened.

10.0 The description of work is as follows: Renovation of Inspection Quarters at CITY TEBuilding, Bangalore,(Civil Portion).

11.0 Submission of Tender:

11.1 The Tender and Earnest Money shall be placed in separate sealed envelopes marked Tender& Earnest Money respectively.

11.1.1 In case of tender document is down loaded from BSNL website, the Tender and earnest

Money plus the cost of tender shall be placed in a separate sealed envelope marked Tender &earnest money plus cost of tender respectively.

11.2 The Tender sealed envelope and Earnest Money or Earnest money plus cost of tender sealed

envelope shall be placed in another sealed envelope with following data written on it.

1. Name of work

2. Name of tenderer

3. Last date of receipt of tender

11.3 The tender in which are percentage to be quoted should be properly bound and sealed. Loose

/ spiral bound submission (in case the tender is down loaded from website) shall be rejected

out rightly. In case of any correction / addition / alteration / omission in tender document vis--vis tender document available on website shall be treated as non-responsive and shall be

summarily rejected.

12.0 The competent authority on behalf of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited does not bind himselfto accept the lowest or any other tender, and reserves to himself the authority to reject any or

all of the tenders received without the assignment of a reason. All tenders, in which any ofthe prescribed conditions is not fulfilled or the tenderer puts any condition including that ofconditional rebate forth, shall be summarily rejected.

13.0 The tender for the work shall remain open for acceptance for a period of 60 days from the

date of opening of the tenders. If any tenderer withdraws his tender before the said period or

issue of letter of acceptance / intent, whichever is earlier, or makes any modifications in theterms and conditions of the tender which are not acceptable to the BSNL then the BSNL

shall without prejudice to any other right or remedy, be at liberty to forfeit 50% of the said

earnest money as aforesaid.

14.0 In case of works of estimated cost Rs.6, 00,000/- and above, the successful tenderer shall,

upon issue of acceptance of Tender, shall be required to furnish irrevocable bank Guaranteeof requisite amount to the Engineer-in-charge in the Performa annexed to the tender

document, within 15 days of the issue of letter of acceptance of tender by the BSNL. In theEvent of failure on the part of the successful tenderer to furnish the Bank Guarantee within

15 days, the earnest money will be forfeited and tender cancelled.

15.0 The tenderer shall furnish a declaration to this effect (In case of down loaded tender that no

addition / deletion / correction have been made in the tender document submitted and it isidentical to the tender document appearing on website. Every page of down loaded tender

shall be signed by the tenderer with stamp (seal) of his firm / organization.
