Remote Environment represents authorized users who

can access the system on their Smart phone app using

the Internet via Wi-Fi or 3G/4G network.

Home Gateway: Function is to provide data translation

services between the Internets. The main component is

a micro Web - server based on Arduino Ethernet. The

main task of the server is to manage, control and

monitor system components that enables hardware

interface modules to successfully execute their assigned

task using actuators and to report server with triggered

events via sensors.

Hardware interface modules are directly interfaced with

sensors and actuators through wires.

It has the capability to control energy management

systems like lightings, HVAC systems, security systems,

temperature etc..,

Adding intelligence to home environment can provide increased quality of life. This project presents a low cost and

flexible home control and monitoring system using an embedded micro-web server, with IP connectivity for

accessing and controlling devices and appliances remotely using Smart phone app.

Combining switchable feature and projection screen feature of smart film creates a very useful Switchable Projection Screen. A perfect application is store advertising on windows. It can be switched between clear and opaque.

In its clear state, the viewer can see through the Smart Film like a regular window. In its opaque state, the user can project an advertising program, presentation, video, TV or movie on it.

When a building is covered with Smart Film and projected at evening, the entire building wall becomes a projection screen. In daytime, people inside a building still can enjoy the nature light and privacy while saving energy. This application cannot be replaced with LED or other technologies.

Applications: Shopping windows, Exhibition/events, street advertising, Building advertisement. School/hospital...

With the above IoT and Switchable film technology I researched, designed and implemented an interactive display box to

showcase products/brands which can be controlled remotely through smart phones and custom hardware based controls.
