Over the past week or so, we wel- comed nearly 300 new Honors freshmen and almost 100 upperclass Honors students, and welcomed back nearly 1100 returning Honors students. On Friday, more than 300 students attended the annual Honors Blitz, to learn about the many Honors activities and programs happening throughout the year. You've probably already noticed the very dramatic changes at the Core Campus building site, located just behind Holmes Hall and the old student union. The out- lines of the new Honors Center (which will comprise the North and Central towers) are coming into view. The Core Campus project is on track to open just a year from now, in August 2016. I hope you take advantage of all the Honors College has to offer. This week, be sure to join us for network- ing night on Wednesday evening. This will be a chance for all students to learn about networking and for freshmen Honors students to learn about majors and careers from their older peers. We look forward to see- ing you there! Medical missions?

If so, consider coming to a meeting to learn more about Foundation for the Interna-tional Medical Relief of Children or FIMRC. Locally, FIMRC takes pride in volunteering with Helping Hands and The Mauldin Miracle League which both work with children in need. During winter and spring breaks, FIMRC travels to clinical sites all over the world to provide medical relief to families in need. We also fund-raise actively throughout the year to provide international clinics with medical supplies such as vitamins, diabetic testing supplies and pre-natal supplements etc. If you are interest-ed in learning more, we are holding interest meetings on:
