Chelsea Campbell Junior – WesternHereford, Texas“¦ e rst reason I chose New Mexico State was the scholarship opportunity that got me to transfer from Texas Tech. When I came to visit I was encourage by the coaching sta ̈ and the other riders on the team. I liked that it was a smaller and the comradery that when along with that. I’m also studying agriculture business and agriculture economics and New Mexico State has a great agriculture that t my educational goals.”

Kate GoodwinSenior – WesternLake Havasu City, Ariz.“¦ ere are many bene ts to riding for the NM State Equestrian Team. One of the things that attracted me to NM State Equestrian was the small team size, which provided opportunities to create strong relationships with my teammates. We are all very close knit and rely on each other for support. Coach Morris always pushes us to do our best both in and out of the show ring. She cares about her riders both as individuals and as athletes. I am so happy that I chose NM State Equestrian!”

Jennifer FriendSenior – Hunter SeatSisters, Ore.“¦ ere were any factors on my I chose to come to NM State. I liked Las Cruces and what the school had to o ̈er academically. I also enjoyed the coaches and the girls on the team, as well as the size of the team. One of the

biggest things that made me select Nm State was one of

my older brothers. He had been to Las Cruces before said it was a great

town. It really reminds me of where I’m from in Oregon.”

Samantha StephensSophomore – Hunter SeatSouthlake, Texas“I chose NM State because I liked the campus and the coaching sta ̈. ¦ e coaching sta ̈ seemed to have a solid background in equestrian. All the girls were extremely nice on my recruiting trip and it felt like this team was a very close group compared o the other teams I was recruited by. I also enjoyed the facilities and the girls made me feel like I was part of the team when I went on my visit.”

Pamela EvansSophomore – WesternBoring, Ore.“I chose NM State because of the sixe of the team. With a smaller team you have more opportunities to ride and compete. You also get more attention from the coaching sta ̈. ¦ e relationship with your teammates was an important factor to me and with a smaller team size like we have here at NM State you

get that. I also liked Las Cruces and surrounding area, plus the great weather we have year round.”

As a rider when you go into the arena one of the best feelings is to have your teammates support and here at NM State you really feel that support from the team. I like the university and surrounding area. ¦ e mountains are beautiful and Las Cruces has a real hometown atmosphere that makes it fun to be a part of the community.”real hometown atmosphere that makes it fun to be a part of the community.”
