I have been extremely impressed with and inspired by our students. They are reverent and engaged in daily Mass, focused and hard-working in the classroom, and kind, caring, and welcoming...especially to those of us who are new. I am truly blessed to be a part of this school community. Thank you for your prayers, enthusiasm, cooperation and support of St. Michael School. Dear St. Michael Families,

Welcome to the beginning of the 2018-19 school year! We are off to a wonderful

start! The St. Michael staff anxiously greeted 253 bright and eager faces last Thursday

morning. I could tell from students’ enthusiasm and big smiles that they were happy to be

back and that we are in for a very productive year of learning and growing as disciples in

Christ. As is true with any new school year, it takes a few days to iron out the procedural

St. Michael School received

nearly $67,000 in materials and

services from the Diocesan

Education Technology group in

the 2017-2018 school

year. Things like whiteboards,

software, iPads, training, etc.

are included in the list of

benefits. These equates to

approximately $267 per

student. We appreciate the

support of the donors who fund

these initiatives that allow us to

continue to improve technology

in our school.

welcomed into the commons

area at 7:45am, the Welcome

Dismissal Map

Arrival Map

Traffic Safety in and around

St. Michael School is

a primary

concern. One

important aspect of

safety is traffic flow

during critical drop-

off and pick-up times.

The success of our

plan is dependent on

adherence to the

following procedures:

Please follow the

traffic plan available

on our school website,

If children and

adults are waiting to

cross the parking lot

at a crosswalk,

drivers are to stop

and yield to

pedestrians.

Please pull

forward as

directed and use

the entire length

of the drop-

off/curb

lane. Have

students ready to

exit the car

immediately to

keep traffic

moving.

Establishing

walking/biking

routes to school or

carpooling with

other families, are

recommended

options for

reducing/avoiding

traffic congestion

that is a part of

every school’s

day.

We realize that getting comfortable with new routines and procedures takes time. Please

know that we have carefully considered our arrival/dismissal plans and will continue to

monitor and adjust as necessary. Our objective will always be to help students arrive and

leave St. Michael School in a safe and orderly manner that increases learning time.
