The year 33 AD is considered a possible year for

Christ's crucifixion. Is it feasible to start with 444 BC and end in 33 AD by Jewish calendar rules? Theanswer is NO. Counting backward from a proposedcrucifixion date in March of 33 AD, ends up withPassover around March 18 in 444 BC, Julian date,corresponding to Gregorian date of March 13, Ref2 .However, there is no way that Passover is

celebrated eight days before the spring equinox ,03/27J. That is way too early. Thus 03April 33cannot work either. One must settle for a Nisan 1that fell no earlier than April 3, 444 BC, Ref4 . Thatwas the evening of April 2, weather permitting, thatthe new crescent was first seen, which would makeApril 3 Nisan 1. Counting inclusively as Anderson

Even ahypothetical Wednesday crucifixion does not workwhen Nisan 14 falls on a Saturday or Sunday. A better narrative of Palm Sunday is that of presenting the paschallamb 4 days prior to Passover. Then Jesus six days before thePassover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead,whom he raised from the dead. On the next day many came to thefeast, when they heard of Jesus being in Jerusalem , Taking branchesof palm trees they meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King

of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord. Pilgrims by thehundreds of thousands were thronging into the city. The pilgrims inroute would collect palm branches to bring with them in anticipationof the messiah. At the temple, they awaited and watched for thecoming of the messiah. The whole populace anticipated Yahshua(Jesus) would come to the feast. Also the chief priests and Phariseeswere also waiting , for if anyone knew where he was, the word wasout that he should report it, so that the temple leaders might seizehim. It was on the evening prior to the day of the lamb selection by

the High Priest, Jesus made special preparations with his disciples for the events of the next day. Jesus knew that on the fourth day beforethe Passover, the High Priest was to leave the city through the NorthGate as he went to the sheep herds and inspected the yearling flock for the most perfect lamb of the season. Within the city of Jerusalem,the crowds of pilgrims were in anticipation of a great procession withthe arrival of the Pesach Lamb. Every year, four days before Passover,a vast entourage of priests would file out of the Herods Temple. the procession of hundreds of priests paraded out of the western gate

entrance, where the vast temple market place, the Bazaar of Hanan(Annas the Elder) was located. There they walked down Robinsons Arch, as they connected with the main North-west street of Jerusalem, the Damascus street going to the North Gate, known asthe Damascus Gate. The procession entered the Upper City. The priests began to line the sides of the Damascus street, two by two,maintaining positions on either side of the street,. As the priests positioned themselves, the High Priest and his entourage made itsway north to the North Gate. Outside the city they inspected the flocks of yearling lambs to find the most perfect lamb.

This was to keep the inspection ordinance. Year after year thiscustom was dramatized on the fourth day prior to Passover .Inside the city, the hundreds of thousands of pilgrims had flocked to the city, Each one bringing a palm frond or cedar bough, they had collected in route to the Holy City. When Caiaphas, the high priest entered the Damascus Gate bringing the selected lamb by

his side, the priests at the gate began shouting, Hosanna to theHighest! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!Blessed be the kingdom of our father David that is coming!Hosanna in the Highest! Upon hearing the shout the people inthe city, those in other part of the city, ran out into the street, alsobringing their fronds and started shouting, Hosanna in theHighest! We now have a whole group of disciples, a mother donkey and her two-three years old colt. A blanket is put over thecolt and Yahshua quietly puts his hand on the colts mane. He

mounts and they begin the descent into the Kidron Valley into thecity. In unison, the disciples begin to shout, Hosanna in theHighest! Blessed is He who comes in the Name of our Lord! The flocks of pilgrims join in the chant as Jesus and the disciples went around the northern part of the Temple Mount, towards the Gateof Damascus. In the meantime, the Caiaphas, the High Priest, hasnow exited the Northern Damascus Gate and was heading out tothe fields to inspect the flocks of yearling lambs. The chant intensified, the priests at the Gate hear the chant and began to

shout, Hosanna in the Highest! Blessed is He who comes in theName of our Lord! Suddenly, the priests at the gate realize, they have been fooled. This was not the return of the High Priest. Thiswas Rabbi Yahshua and his disciples. Some of the Pharisees, thedogmatic sticklers of church protocol and defining the letter of thetruth, challenged Jesus, Teacher, rebuke your disciples. Jesusshouts back to them over the swelling cries of the multitude, If these were silent, the very stones would cry out. Over the next 4days before Passover Jesus was inspected & flawless offered asthe Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world.
