Please find enclosed a copy of Department of Social Justice and Empowerment,Senior Citizens Division's Office Memorandum No.lS-40(34)/2017-18/Sr.C.II dated 26-04-2018 on the subject cited above.

2. Department of Social Justice and Empowerment has invited nominations forVayoshreshtha Samman 2018 - National Award for Senior Citizen. It will be conferred toeminent senior citizens and institution who have rendered distinguished service for thecause of elderly persons specially indigent senior citizen under various categories.Detailed eligibility criteria for the nomination of award and procedure is available on thewebsite of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment at http://socialjustice.nic.in . Thelast day for submission of nomination is 31st May,20 18. The Performa for nominationunder institution category is given at Annexure I and for individual category at Annexure-II ofthe attached circular.

3. All pensioners Associations are requested to circulate the above OM amongst theirmembers for forwarding nominations of eligible individual/institution for conferment ofaward.
