Nobile Kiteboarding has always been famous for introducing innovative con-

structions and technologies into the world of our beloved sport. Since the very fi rst kite-board produced using snowboard technology (which back in the day completely revolutioni-zed kiteboard construction), we have always been the leader in the fi eld of proper fl ex

Introduced last year in the DoubleHydro-Dynamic, exclusive Pre-Stress technology is implemented into the majority of Nobile kite-boards for 2012. Now the boards feature even more spectacular POP and excellent grip combined with impressive upwind and choppy water performance, while still being easy to ride and providing you with lots of fun. Addi-tionally, the outline and shape of the boards have been changed to optimize all the bene-fi ts you get from Pres-Stress technology. The boards are not only amazingly good to ride, but with dazzling paint jobs and custom fi nishes, they are also visually delicious.

For 2012 Nobile introduces the Infi nity – a lightweight and extremely durable wave board. This model features all the advantages of a classic wave board, but thanks to it’s unique construction, it is easier to ride stra-pless and provides more fun than the tradi-tional boards.

You should also pay attention to the new version of the T5. This classic freeride board now features Pre-Stress tech as well as improved rocker line. If you’re looking for a freestyle focused all-rounder, feast your eyes on the new NHP. We’ve done what seemed to be impossible, all the features of one of the most popular hi-performance boards have been taken to the next level, making the NHP a defi nite must-have for 2012.

All of you female riders should look no fur-ther than the NHP and T5 women’s spec, developed with Asia „The Machete” Litwin.

Another novel feature is the new size of the Nobile 50Fifty. This wakestyle inspired, Mike „The Knife” Blomvall signature board (voted best twin tip of the year) will also be available in 134 x 39 cm for 2012.

Unless you’re not riding strapless, you know the connection between the rider and the board is also really important. This is why Nobile keeps on progressing when it comes to footpads. PRE-STRESSSTRONGER – LIGHTER – BETTER RESPONSIVENESS

Prestressing means the intentional creation of initial tension in a structure for the pur-

pose of improving its strength properties.

The concept of pre-stressed structure is widely employed in the design of buildings, underground structures, TV towers, power stations, fl oating storage and offshore facili-ties, nuclear reactor vessels, and numerous kinds of bridge systems.

The idea of prestressing was, apparently, familiar to the ancient Rome architects; the tall attic wall of the Colosseum works as a stabilizing device for the wall piers beneath.*

In kiteboarding, pre-stress allows the board to be loaded with energy during pro-duction. Storing the energy inside the board makes it a bit more stiff and much more tor-sion resistant, which results in astonishing POP. Pre-Stress technology also allows us to build thinner and lighter boards, yet still more durable.

3-D CONSTRUCTION

3D Construction is still an unmatched milestone in the area of kiteboarding tech-nology. Advanced fl ex management makes it extraordinarily comfortable on landings, gives it magnifi cent impact resistance and tons of control. 3D Construction allows more fl ex in

selected areas of the board. As a result, the board features shorter reaction time and better response, whilst still remaining easy to ride and forgiving.

POP GROWER

This special “W” shape cut keeps the tips of the board really fl exible to provi-de explosive pop. It’s like pieces of Semtex mounted under the tip and tail of the board, so you can now fl y higher than anyone else at the spot.

DYNAMIC ASYMMETRICAL SHAPE

Dynamic Asymmetrical Shape is desi-gned around the Human Concept, to enhan-ce your performance and work in harmony with your body.We have tailored the outline of the heel side rail to provide more grip, bet-ter upwind performance and maximum POP. On the weaker toe side, the curve radius is increased to improve the carving potential and comfort. At the same time DAS decre-ases the foot pressure necessary to hold an edge.

HYDRODYNAMIC ROCKER LINE

Hydrodynamic Rockerline was deve-loped after careful analysis of water movement under the kiteboard. Hydro-dynamic Profi le is designed to reduce water drag, optimizing the board shape directly to the water fl ow. The advantages over tradi-tional rocker with a fl at center are increased board speed and improved acceleration.

This aerospace product has found its swe-et spot in kiteboarding technology as well. It’s ten times lighter than wood, but has great durability. Placed in different areas depending on board model, it reduces weight, gives pop, improves tensional response and allows accurate fl ex adjustment.

X-REACTIVE FLEX SYSTEM

X layout of Carbon and Kevlar is a perfect combination. While Carbon supports rebo-und forces and edge grip, Kevlar reduces vibrations to minimum. Together this results in excellent pop, quick response and optimal torsion.

WATER RELAUNCH1.Auto-relaunch allows the kite to move to the edge of the wind window.

AERODYNAMICS

Numerical analysis allows to defi ne the kite aerodynamics even at an early stages of

kite design. It allows us to independently evalu-ate the performance of the profi les as well as the whole kite. By knowing the pressure distri-bution we can modify the profi le to best serve our demands, shape the canopy and properly adjust the angles for separate sections of the kite. It allows thorough optimization of the kite, so that its lift force is maximized, drag is mini-mized, while speed is adjusted to desired level and it’s turning is optimized.

Every segment of the Kite has a diffe-rent profi le. In its central part, the kite profi le is designed to generate enough lift force at minimal drag and must provi-de kite stability. Additionally, the pitching

moment has to be held at a certain level, so not to cause problems with kite’s stabili-

ty, when it’s in the air. The angle imple-mented for these sections depends

on the wind window of the kite. Kite wing tips do not generate the lift - these are the elements you steer the kite with. The profi les used in these sections are smoother, to minimise air drag.

T5-KOINOBORI CENTRAL STRUT.

The central strut of the T5 kite. It’s construction is based on many ring elements, which ensures a per-fect profi le regardless of its shape. This provides perfect support along the whole length of the strut.

T5-KOINOBORI SIDE STRUT.

This three piece construction is the best solution for thinner profi les. Two perfectly matched elements give very good support for canopy in the front of the profi le, where it’s most important.

N62 V3 STRUTS

The best and most universal solu-tion for profi les with a variety of curves. This side tube construction has a few elements, and thus a few seams. In this case the front of the profi le is aerodynamically shaped due

to the pressure created on the surface of the kite.

THIN STRUT ENDINGS

Thinner side tubes ends provide better aerodynamics, less drag and generally improve the kites speed. Optimized radius, without any addi-tional locks, enables easy service and bladders removal.

FLATTENED WING TIPS

Thinner main tube ends provide better aerodynamics by reducing drag, thus impro-ving the kites speed and increasing respon-se to any bar movement. It also makes the kite look much better.

CATCH-FREE VALVES LOCATION

Side-strut kite valves are placed at the outer sides of the struts, to create a “catch – free” location. It’s almost impossible for the bridles to catch the valve when launching the kite.

BRIDLE ATTACHMENT POINTS

Freshly developed technology of the bridle attachment combines both aesthetic and endurance aspects perfectly. Inner Dacron reinforcements within the tube are durable and almost invisible.

To increase your safety and comfort, we designed custom air chambers featured in our footpads. During the landing the footbed deforms a little to absorb the impact, and in a blink of an eye, returns to it’s normal shape.
