• In the early 60's the Finnish military asks Nokia and Salora to develop a portable field phone
• In the 70's the first car phones for the Finnish ARP network
• 1979 Nokia & salora form a joint venture: Mobira
• The NMT era • 1982 First Mobira products: Senator
and Combi portable phones for NMT-450• 1984 the first handportable mobile
phone: the Mobira Talkman
• 1986 the first Mobira Cityman handportables
