  • Insert a SIM card and battery

    Switch the phone off, then removethe back cover.

    If the battery is in the phone, lift itout.

    Open the holder, then put the SIM inwith the contact area face down. See

    Open the external SIM slot markedwith . See 7.

    Select Menu > Maps.

    Maps shows you what is nearby andhelps you plan your route, free ofcharge. You can: See where you are on a map Plan a route to a nearby place Search for a place or an address,and save it Send your location or a place to afriend in a text message

    Your phone may have a memory cardwith preloaded maps for yourcountry. Make sure the memory cardis in your phone before using Maps.

    You can only use Maps when using theSIM in the internal SIM holder.

    When you browse to an area which isnot covered by the maps alreadydownloaded on the memory card, amap for the area is automatically

    downloaded through the internet.See 8.

    Contents of digital maps maysometimes be inaccurate andincomplete. Never rely solely on thecontent or the service for essentialcommunications, such as inemergencies.

    Take care of your deviceHandle your device, battery, charger andaccessories with care. The followingsuggestions help you protect your warrantycoverage. Keep the device dry.     Batteries and chargersBattery and charger informationYour device is intended for use with a BL-5Crechargeable battery. Nokia may makeadditional battery models available for thisdevice. Always use original Nokia batteries.

    This device is intended for use when suppliedwith power from the following chargers:AC-11. The exact Nokia charger modelnumber may vary depending on the plugtype, identified by E, X, AR, U, A, C, K, or B.

    The battery can be charged and dischargedhundreds of times, but it will eventually wearout. When the talk and standby times arenoticeably shorter than normal, replace thebattery.

    Important: Talk and standby times areestimates only. Actual times are affected by,for example, network conditions, devicesettings, features being used, batterycondition, and temperature.

    Battery safetyAlways switch the device off and disconnectthe charger before removing the battery.When you unplug a charger or an accessory,hold and pull the plug, not the cord.

    When your charger is not in use, unplug itfrom the electrical plug and the device. Donot leave a fully charged battery connectedto a charger, as overcharging may shortenthe batterys lifetime. If left unused, a fullycharged battery will lose its charge over time.

    Always keep the battery between 15C and25C (59F and 77F). Extreme temperaturesreduce the capacity and lifetime of thebattery. A device with a hot or cold batterymay not work temporarily.

    You agree to provide truthful and completeinformation when you register for theService and to keep that informationupdated. You must take due care to protectyour username and password against misuse

    by others and promptly notify Nokia aboutany misuse. You, and your parent or legalguardian if you are a minor, are personallyresponsible for any use of the Service.

    You may terminate your registration if you nolonger wish to use the Service. Aftertermination, you will no longer have accessto the Service. Nokia may terminate yourregistration or restrict your access to certainparts of the Service if Nokia reasonablybelieves that you have breached the Termsor with prior notice if you have not signed intothe Service with your username in the pastsix (6) months.

You are bound by anyrestrictions applicable to specific Contentyou obtain through the Service. Any licenseacquired to third-party Content is a bindingagreement between you and the third-partyContent provider. You have only the rights tothe Content which are expressly grantedhere.

    As part of the Service, Nokia may provide youwith certain software developed by Nokia or,its licensors (Software). Your use ofSoftware may be subject to separate termsand conditions that you must accept beforeusing the Software. If there are no separateterms and conditions applicable to suchSoftware, the following terms apply: Nokiagrants to you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use theSoftware on your computer and/or mobiledevice. You may not copy the Software,except to make a single archival backup copy.You may not distribute, transfer the right touse, modify, translate, reproduce, resell,sublicense, rent, lease, reverse engineer, orotherwise attempt to discover the sourcecode of or make derivative works of theSoftware. For open source licensed software,applicable open source license terms apply.

    The Software maybe subject to exportcontrols under the U.S. ExportAdministration Regulations and other importor export control regulations. You agree to

    strictly comply with all applicable import andexport regulations and acknowledge that youhave the responsibility to obtain licenses toexport, re-export, transfer, or import suchSoftware.

    You may be able to submit information orcontent (Material) to the Service. Nokiadoes not claim ownership in your Material.Your submission of Material does nottransfer ownership of rights of the Materialto Nokia. Nokia is only transmitting theMaterial and is not responsible for editorialcontrol over it. By submitting Material to theService you grant Nokia a worldwide, non-exclusive, sub-licensable, assignable, fullypaid-up, royalty-free, perpetual andirrevocable license to use, copy, publiclyperform, display, distribute in any media andmodify the Material to incorporate theMaterial into other works, and to grant similarsublicenses to the extent necessary forNokia to provide the Service. You may be ableto adjust this grant in the privacy and othersettings of the Service.

    You are solely responsible for taking backupcopies of the data you store on the Service,including Content you upload. If the Serviceis discontinued or canceled, Nokia maypermanently delete your data. Nokia has noobligation to return data to you after theService is discontinued or canceled.

    5. Using the Service

  • Comply with applicable laws, the Termsand good manners; Use the Service only for your personal,non-commercial purposes; Not submit unlawful, offensive,inaccurate, misleading, abusive,pornographic, harassing, libelous orotherwise inappropriate Material; Obtain any consents, permission orlicenses that may be legally required for youto submit any Material; Respect the privacy of others; Not distribute or post spam,unreasonably large files, chain letters,pyramid schemes, viruses; or Not use any other technologies orinitiate other activities that may harm theService, or the interest or property of theService users. Not to use any automated systems ormeans to access, acquire, copy or monitorany part of the service. Be responsible for the consequencesrelated to the Material that you post.

    Nokia may but has no obligation to: Monitor or moderate any Content orMat
