Happy August, fellow Zontians!
This summer has proved to be productive for our Club
and its mission. Instead of rehashing what was on the
schedule, I want to know what each of YOU did. Let's
play ZONTA Bingo! Use the Zonta Bingo sheet on the
next page or click this link for the electronic version
https://mfbc.us/m/xqht4f mark the items that pertain to
you -- GET A PRIZE!! Print or screenshot your results and
bring to the noon meeting on Thursday August 9th or text
or email to me: [email protected] 307-214-
4376. Will your card be a ZONTA Bingo Blackout? I can't
wait to see what you all did! Have fun!
Sincerely, Kristie Wilson
Kristie Wilson
My name is Ann Secrest. I’m happily married 99% of the time to a rock star named Steve. (He’s
actually a sales manager at Spradley-Barr) We have three grown children, who have lives of their
own, but seem to be at our home, a lot. We have two amazing grandchildren, who I absolutely
adore, and two Chihuahuas who are a royal pain in my butt. We moved to Cheyenne over 17 years
ago, and plan to stay here until we die. I consider myself lucky to be a part of this wonderful town,
where everyone knows or is related to someone I know. I’m a Mail Carrier during the day, and
some days are way longer than others. When not working, I do everything I can, outdoors. (My
house hates me for this.) During the summer, I spend a lot of time with grandchildren. I love con-
certs, outdoor events, and getting together with friends and family as much as possible. I am an
avid NASCAR fan (Kyle Busch is my Driver) and Football fan (Broncos). I love to snowmobile
during the winter, and travel any time. I have coached girls softball, volunteered for United Way,
manned the Spradley-Barr trailer for countless events, and have been involved with the County
Fair for many years. I first heard about Zonta a few years back, at one of the best fundraisers, La-
dies Night Out. Since joining, I have met some awesome women working together for an im-
portant cause. I’m excited to be a Zontian!

Legislative Watch Thank you so much for your letters to our Members of Congress! It felt re-
ally good to have a folder full of letters to leave with them as well as the issue folders provided by
RESULTS. I have a small thank you gift for each of you (if I remember to have them when I see
you).
Rep. Cheney had the same problem, but she managed to fly in for a couple of minutes to start the
conversation on REACH and had me get with her scheduler to start looking for a time we can get
with her in the next couple of weeks (She will be here tomorrow and next Friday for sure.). If I
have to bail out on some CFD activity I have promised to do, I hope folks will understand! And I
am going to want company so they know I am not just one lone voice here in the wilderness. I will
get back with some of you when I get appointments.
Enzi's foreign policy aide will be in town sometime in the near future and would like to meet with
us (maybe we should take him to Coffee Depot). Barb, you met him via video conference, and he is
even sweeter in person. I am hoping to get a chance to meet Enzi in-district, because he was on the
floor for a vote and couldn't meet with us.

July Meeting "Minutes"
On July 12 Zontians, spouses, friends met at Accomplice Beer Co in the Cheyenne
Depot. There must have been about 25 of us there BUT we were missing our special
hostesses Morgan Kikendall. Delicious & sinful wings, sliders, chips, hot pretzels,
were served. There was also an AMAZING kale salad that cancelled out all the extra
calories in the beer and food mentioned previously!
The fun photo op displays for the Pancake Breakfasts were unveiled by Kathy
Cathcart as well as the amazing Human Trafficking Awareness coasters that were
handed out not only to Accomplice Beer Co, but to many other bars and establish-
ments around town.
It was also announced that Connie Sloan Cathcart volunteered to chair the July so-
cial event in 2019. Connie wanted to take on this event since that will be the Zonta
International Centennial Year, I'm sure Connie will create something very special.
