Non-Motorized Monorail Conveyor Cleaner

Installation instructions and general information: LOCATION: The non-motorized monorail conveyor cleaner (MB conveyor cleaner) should be located on the conveyor line where the debris removed from the conveyor can fall to the floor without contamination of product on the line. The conveyor cleaner should also be located in an easily accessible area for observation and service, if required, prior to lubricator, if possible. MOUNTING: The MB conveyor cleaner is easily mounted with pre-assembled monorail clamps. NOTE: If welding or bolting brush unit to monorail is preferred, order optional brackets. You must observe the directional arrow on the “base plate”, indicating the direction of the conveyor travel. ADJUSTMENTS: The conveyor cleaner’s mounting angles have multiple sets of vertical holes provided to adjust the unit upward. The unit should be located in the holes that position the brush sweep to clean from the top of the trolley bearings to the bottom of the chain. The cleaner’s brush rotation is restricted by a braking action created by a compression spring against a rotating disc. Tighten the spring to create a resistive drag, but not to where the brush will not turn. The final adjustment would be to tighten the tension spring that pulls the two brush arms towards the chain and trolleys. Apply enough tension to make the brush scratch the chain link, but also be able to spread apart to allow the trolley bearings to pass through and be cleaned without smashing the brush bristles.
