Norland's side-stream ozone systems are complete frame-mounted modules designedspecifically for high-quality bottled water operations. Two standard systems areavailable: The SSOZ-25A produces enoughozone to treat up to 25 gallons (95 L) perminute. The SSOZ-50A produces up to 50gallons (189 L) per minute. Larger-capacitysystems are available on request. Thesecompact systems are designed to keepozone residual levels from 0.1-0.4 mg/L.The system utilizes an air-cooled, patented“Cold Spark” Corona Discharge Generator. This technology allows the production of ahigh concentration of ozone while generatingvery little heat, eliminating the need foradditional water-cooling mechanisms forthe ozone tubes.

Norland's “side-stream” ozone systemsare reliable, cost-efficient and easy tomaintain. In this process, product wateris drawn from a storage tank by the integral stainless steel repressurizationpump. Part of the water flowing throughthis pump is “side-streamed” throughanother stainless steel pump, whichdrives the water through a VenturiInjector Assembly where ozone is injectedinto the water. This side-stream ofozonated water is then routed to the contact tank, where it is mixed well withthe main flow of product water from therepressurization pump before delivery toa filler system.
