norman's principles - digital lift control
DESCRIPTION
Don Norman's design principles Visibility concerns about the know state of device, actions available and if possible, in a natural design with no explanations needed. Mappings concerns user’ intentions to available actions and if possible, do not need any explanations and immediately know what to do. Affordances concerns about the perceived and actual properties of objects that give users the cues about what they can do with it. Constraints restrict user actions to valid action(s) by eliminating the needs for perfect knowledge or any recognition over recall. Feedback concerns about the performed action and response immediately by helping users detect errors or explore technologies.TRANSCRIPT

DID YOUKNOW ?
Visibility - If you are the one … can I see it?
and we need to fight back…nonono…we need some FEEDBACK!
It’s about mappings…
where am I?
Constraints – why can’t I do that?
It’s about affordances…
how do I use it?
Let’s take a look around
the GOOD DESIGN!
Not this
This is the GOOD
DESIGN!
Just holding the door to long…
I need to go now, SEE YOU!
