Scientific Activities

1. O3: version V2 finalised and published (Hendrick et al., ACP, 2011)

- Spectral analysis settings (impact <1%)- Air Mass Factor (significant impact, specially polar regions)

Test by comparison between 8 SAOZ stations / 20 years distributed in latitude and all available nadir viewing satellites

Important to correct in the future, satellite (and Dobson /Brewer) total ozone retrievals for T and SZA dependences

2. NO2: version V3 (under progress)

- Spectral analysis settings as V2 version- Sunrise and sunset stratospheric AMF

NORS WP4: NDACC UV-VIS WG recommendations for homogenisation

Page 12: NORS/NDACC UV-VIS Working Group Meeting

Scientific ActivitiesO3 loss evaluation in Arctic

VPSC weighted by sunlit vortex and SAOZ Cumulated Ozone loss

Interannual variability: Sensibility of O3 loss to history of stratospheric temperature Record in 2011

(under progress for publication)

Scientific Activities

Stratospheric total NO2 columns changing from 2001-2007

• Pastel et al., to be submitted in ACP

• Pastel et al., to be submitted in AMT

Long term comparisons of SAOZ/NDACC UV-Vis spectrometer and satellites total ozone and NO2 measurements at the southern tropics

Scientific ActivitiesTropospheric NO2 columns

Correction of the multiple scattering

NO2 tropospheric AMF

• Use of this method at Paris and OHP stations.• Extension to La Réunion station under study
