Thank you for considering Plas Dinas Country House as your wedding venue. Whether its a civil partnership or a marriage, our aim is to make it as special and memorable as possible.

Plas Dinas is a historic home, located just outside the Royal Town of Caernarfon. Filled with the history of a well-known family, it is the perfect location for a small but special wedding. With 8 bedrooms as well as a 2 bedroom Lodge, we can accommodate 20 guests onsite.

Our experience and organisation before the beig day means you get to enjoy the day in full without having to worry about a thing as everything happens as planned automatically, in the background.

We only host a few weddings here each year so they are as special to us as they are to you. We generally cater for small, intimate gatherings of up to 26 guests (if you require a ceremony and seated wedding breakfast) or up to 60 guests for a drinks and canape reception.

THE SERVICE

Our large and elegant Drawing Room is licensed for up to 60 guests. It is the ideal setting for an intimate and romantic wedding ceremony. It has an open fire and several sofa’s that can be used by your guests to enjoy the ceremony in comfort.

THE GROUNDS

We are set in 15 acres of park land with numerous excellent spots for photo’s including panoramic sea views, farm land, moutains and a graduated terrace for group shots.

DAYTIME WEDDINGS

It is possible to take the house over for just the day without overnight accommodation. For this option, we ask that you have your service around 12 noon. This would usually be followed by a drinks and canape reception on our terrace while you have your photos taken around our beautiful grounds. A sumptuous meal will then be served in the Dining Room followed by coffee and further drinks back in the Drawing Room. The hire of the house would end at 16h00.

exclusive use

We rather recommend that you take the house on an exclusive use basis. This enables you to enjoy a mid to late afternoon service followed by a leisurely meal and drinks into the evening. All your guests can stay at the house or the Lodge and enjoy our locally sourced breakfast in the morning. Exclusive use gives you the benefit of a wedding service at the time of your choosing along with much more time to spend with your guests.

Exclusive use guests often choose to take the whole house the night before the wedding as well so you can relax on your wedding day knowing that your important guests are already here and you can take your time getting ready.

THE REGISTRAR

We have a small team of Registrar’s who cover the Caernarfon area, all of whom are lovely and skilled at putting you at ease on your big day. If you wish to book Plas Dinas, please first check the availability of the Registrar for your chosen date.

ACCOMMODATION

We offer 8 en-suite rooms, some with Super King Size beds that can be converted to twin beds. While Plas Dinas generally operates a no-children under 14 policy, when you take the house on Exclusive Use, we welcome well behaved children of all ages.

Our intimate Classic Rooms are all en-suite with tea & coffee making facilities, fluffy bathrobes and slippers, televisions, Molton Brown toiletries and comfortable beds. Our larger Deluxe Rooms offer mini-bars, larger televisions and Apple TV’s with movies on demand.

For your special wedding night, our Princess Margaret Suite offers a roll top bath, four poster bed and lovely views over our lawns and gardens.
