Attendance Advice from the Department of Education Even though students may be learning from home, schools are still marking attendance. For your child to be marked as present at school, teachers need to see evidence of students signing into their google classrooms and submitting work. If students do not have access to technology they need to be completing work, returning the work for marking and ensuring that they are communicating with classroom teachers about their child’s learning. If the school has not had any communication from you at all, we will assume your child is not participating in learning and will be marked absent as per Department of Education’s guidelines and policy.

Learning Packs We still have a few home learning packs that have not been collected from the office. If your child is not completing the work on the Google Classrooms and they have not collected a learning pack, they will be marked as absent, as they will not have completed any learning. Please ensure your child has access to the work that has been organised by their classroom teacher.

Maintenance Around the School Over the past few weeks, we have had some maintenance completed around the school. The reading storeroom has been painted, new floor laid and new shelving put in, and the seats outside 2C, 3M, 3P and 4M have been replaced due to being damaged. Thank you to Mrs Triggs, Mrs Morel and Mrs Marshall for all their efforts in organising the reading room and the resources. They all look great and have been finished in time for our students to return.

Bubblers and Equipment During the COVID 19, we are asking students to bring a drink bottle to school and to refill from the chiller bubbler and not to use bubblers to have a drink. Students will also not be allowed to play on the playground equipment until further notice. We appreciate your support and understanding with this matter.
