PROGRAM:

1. Transportation Master Plan: Jennifer Kammerzell, sr. engineer, TPW/Engineering (15

2. Tideflats Emergency Response / Intelligent Transportation System Study update:

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

• Communications Strategies:

- NET News – March issue distributed to local sites (~140+: BP Town Center, N.S. Thai in

Walgreens strip, QFC strip businesses (added MultiCare) and NET convenience stores;

library, Norpoint, substation), and by e-mail to ~500+ residents and ~28 officials and other

contacts. E-mail list cleaned up from time-to-time for non-working addresses.

- Committee report: Need additional suggestions for website content

• Outreach: Still sorting out the responses. 23 new responses since end-January (total over

400). Streets improvements top priority. Volunteers needed to capture the paper response

input. Meeker meeting on hold – need more homework. Pierce Transit is preparing a

proposal for a NE Tacoma demonstration project consistent with last month’s discussion.

Innovative Grants: Waiting for announcement of 2015 program.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

• Abandoned house in Pinnacle Pointe

NEW BUSINESS:

• Neighborhood Clean-up Day: August 1 confirmed date (Meeker pending)

• Participants bring up items of concern or interest.

ANNOUNCEMENTS, UPCOMING MEETINGS, and EVENTS:

• Board Exec Comm and Planning Comm meeting, April 2nd, 6:30pm, TPD substation

• Julia’s Gulch work party, Saturday, April 11th, 9am, gather at Viewpoint Park

• Community meeting: April 16th, 6:30 (social time) / 7pm (agenda), TPD substation, program: discuss

input on streets improvements and establish next steps
