Our missionThe mission of our free Northern Nevada Cleft Palate Clinic, located at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, is to examine and counsel adults and children with cleft palate or other craniofacial disorders involving the head, face and mouth.
Such disorders commonly require care by a team of professionals including physicians, dentists, geneticists, speech pathologists, and audiologists. Our clinic provides this team to you, regardless of your location.
Designed to recommend treatment rather than provide it, our team evaluates each patient with the goal of diagnosis, prognosis, and long-term follow up. There is no charge to the patient for our services.
Our scheduleHours: First Friday of the month, 8 a.m. to11:30 a.m.
The Northern Nevada Cleft Palate Clinic, the only clinic of its kind in the region, meets on the first Friday of each month, unless it is a holiday weekend. Clinic begins at 8 a.m. and typically runs until 11:30 a.m.
We generally have family movies playing and when the weather permits, we have outdoor play space to keep children occupied as you wait to see the next doctor. Parents and guardians are welcome to bring books and small toys.
All services are conveniently provided to patients in one day, at one location.
