The Northview Athletic Department’s Fall Awards Night will be tonight, Wednesday, November 13th at Northview. Senior Boards will be at 6pm in the cafeteria. Awards will be presented in the auditorium starting at 6:30pm.
There are two more volunteer opportunities through the "Be a Good Neighbor" program before the end of the semester if anyone is interested, grades 9-12. They will be helping shoppers at Kroger the weekend before Thanksgiving with their holiday groceries (November 23rd or 24th) and on December 7th they will be participating in the Mainstreet by Moonlight shopping event and helping with free gift wrap. As many volunteers that are willing can help out with the Kroger weekend and the first 5 volunteers can help out at the gift wrapping event. More information is on announcements on the canvas page. The play, "All's Well in Roswell (Isn't It?)" will be Thursday and Friday, November 14th and 15th, at 7 pm. The
auditorium will open at 6:30 and tickets will be $5, available for purchase before the show.
Congratulations to NMK for their 3rd place finish at State this past weekend. Thank you to Mr. Thompson, Mrs. Clevenger and Mrs. Medworth for their preparation and leadership this season.

Hoosier Girls State is looking for junior female students interested in learning about the government and ways to become involved in government. This opportunity takes place June 21-27, 2020. If you are interested in more information, please let Mrs. Boor know. The delegate from Northview needs to be picked by March 1st.
Students who are planning to go to college after they graduate and especially 21st Century Scholars will need to apply for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). October 1, 2019 is the first day that students can start filling out the FAFSA online. Students have until the April 15, 2020 deadline to complete the FAFSA. The sooner that you apply the more aid that might be available to you.

Supertickets are now on sale during school hours in the athletic office. Each additional student is $10: 3 students = $200, 4 = $210, 5 or more = $220)

All deposits must be made before 10:30 am if you want it applied that day. For your convenience, we have a drop box in the cafeteria for payments. If you would prefer to make online payments, go to www.myschoolbucks.com and register for a free account. They also offer a mobile app for your smartphone that will enable you to view recent purchases, check balances and receive low balance alerts.
Reminder: All attendance issues need to go through the Attendance Office. This includes absences, tardies, and doctor’s notes for absences. If you will be absent from school please have a parent or legal guardian call Mrs. Eppert at 812-448-2661 Ext. 1211.

Guidance
Northview High School will be hosting a FAFSA Day on Wednesday, November 20th from 5:00-7:00. Keep this date
open and more details will be sent at a later date. Students and parents will have an opportunity to get assistance filling out the FAFSA or getting any questions answered at that time. 21st Century Scholars are also welcome to come that night to work on FAFSA and their Scholar Track Activities. The FAFSA website is: https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa You will have to create a FAFSA ID prior to filling out the FAFSA. Go to StudentAid.gov/fsaid to create your FAFSA ID.
Honey Creek Garden Club Scholarship: Two $1000 scholarships will be awarded through the Honey Creek Garden Club. Qualifications to apply are: Have a college major in horticulture, botany, environmental science, agriculture or a related field may be considered. Have a B grade point average or above 3.0 or above. Be of good character. Be a Vigo County resident or immediate surrounding counties in Indiana. This information must be submitted: Completed application, a letter of personal introduction which explains the student's life goals and how the scholarship will benefit these goals, letter of recommendation from the teacher and one other professional person who knows the student personally and high school transcript. Scholarships must be submitted by March 1, 2020, but it is recommended that you have them submitted earlier. You can pick up a scholarship application in the guidance office. Scholarship: Gongaware Scholarship for ISU (Students interested in Financial Services or Insurance) Benefits of this scholarship: This scholarship will pay full tuition to Indiana State University. $40,000 over four years and a $3000 Professional Development Account. Gaining the recipient the inside track on top internships, networking opportunities and jobs. Insight from the student's own professional mentor. To qualify students must first be accepted to ISU by December 1st. In addition they must meet two of three of the following qualifications: Earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, achieve a ranking in the top 15 percent of their high school graduating class, 1140 SAT (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math) or 23 ACT. I have to submit a nomination for you. Please email (Ms. Casassa) if you plan on going into Insurance and financial services industries. Scholarship nominations must be submitted by November 20th. Please let me know ASAP if this is a field of study you plan on going into at ISU. Scholarship: Parke County REMC Parke County REMC's member's children, who will be attending accredited colleges as first-year students in the Fall of 2020 and whose parents/guardians are full time residents of the Parke County REMC service area, are eligible for a $1000.00 scholarship. Scholarship applications are available in the guidance office. Applications deadline is January 10, 2020. Applications received after that date will be disqualified. Scholarship: Knights of Pythias The Knights of Pythias of Indiana are offering 12 scholarships in the amount of $1000 a piece to graduating seniors in the class of 2020. Applications must be in computer form. No handwritten applications will be accepted. Essays and high
school transcripts must accompany application. Applications are due no later than January 25, 2020. All applications must be postmarked on before that date. Please come by the guidance office to get the instructions and application. You may put the application in word form yourself or print the application below. You still need to get the info. from guidance. The ISU Credit Union is offering four $2000 scholarships for the 2020-2021 school year. These scholarships are renewable over the next 4 years, allowing recipients to potentially receive a maximum amount of $8000. The stipend will be made payable to the institution to cover tuition, books, and fees. Applications are available on their website: isucreditunion.com Requirements: Parent/Student must be a member of the ISU Credit Union. (Students/Parents have until December 31, 2019 to become members of the credit union, thus making them eligible to apply). Application must be postmarked by December 31, 2019.
Ceres Solutions Scholarship:
Ceres Solutions is offering 10/ $1000 scholarships to high school seniors to help further their education. Ceres Solutions is looking to offer these scholarships to students who have been involved in 4 years of 4-H or 2 years in the local FFA program and will be starting college in the fall of 2020.

Civil Engineering Scholarship:
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is offering students going into civil engineering, scholarships up to $3,125 per semester, and paid employment on summer breaks and upon graduation. This scholarship is renewable up to 5 years. Scholarship funds can be applied to educational expenses, fees and books. In return, recipients will work for INDOT in full time, paid positions as stated above.
Qualifications to apply and deadlines:
* Student must be accepted or enrolled full time in one of Indiana's civil engineering schools. Eligible Programs include: (Purdue University Fort Wayne, Purdue University, Rose-Hulman, Trine University, Purdue University Northwest, University of Evansville, University of Notre Dame, and Valparaiso University)
* Applications for the 2020-2021 school year must be submitted by Tuesday, December 31, 2019.

Ivy Tech Scholarships
Chancellor Scholarship:
*For high school graduates with a 3.5 cumulative GPA or above or in the top 10% of their class.
*Covers full cost of tuition, technology fees, and books for four semesters.
*Must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
*Must enroll in at least 12 credit hours of Ivy Tech coursework each semester.
Honor's Scholarship:
*For high school graduates with an Academic Honor's or Technical Honor's Diploma
*$750 a semester
*Renewable for 4 semesters
*Must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA
*Must enroll in at least 6 credit hours of Ivy Tech coursework each semester
Laptop Scholarship:
*Can be awarded in conjunction with any of their other scholarships.
*Selection will be based on a rubric of essay questions, high school GPA, dual credit, and Ivy Tech GPA if
applicable. Deadline for high school scholarships; February 14, 2020
Elevate: Minority Scholars Achievement Program:
*This scholarship will be awarded to 10 African American students. Recipients will be awarded a $2000
scholarship each year at Ivy Tech Community College Terre Haute. '

Hagan Scholarship
The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship. The scholarship is designed to help
recipients graduate college debt free. Recipients must graduate from a public high school in the U.S. The
scholarship provides up to $6000 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters. The scholarship will help
pay the unmet financial need of the recipient.
Eligibility Requirements:
1- Must be a citizen of the United States
2-Must attend an eligible public high school
3-Must be a student in the high school graduating class
4-Must have achieved a 3.75 cumulative GPA or higher
5-Must score 24 or higher on the ACT (Composite) or 1,150 or higher on the SAT (total score)
6-Must enroll at an eligible four year college or university the fall semester following high school
7-Must work 240 hours in the twelve months prior to the start of each academic year of college
8-Must complete the FAFSA in 2019 EFC must be less than $6500
9-Must apply for eligible Federal and State grants
10-Must not have been convicted of a felony
