Established in 2002
Goal: to serve the Muslim community of St. Louis, especially in North St. Louis County
Jumah Prayers were held at a rented location until October of 2006
5 acres of land was purchased in October 2003
Masjid construction completed in October 2006
Imam Abdul Wajid
• In April 2009, Imam Abdul Wajid was hired as the full time Imam for NWIC
• Memorized the Qur'an at Darul Uloom in Buffalo, NY at the age of 12
• Spent 2 years in Egypt learning the Arabic language
• Studied fiqh and hadith for 7 years at Jaamiah-ul-Uloom in Toronto

Average total attendance for Jummah Prayers has been approx. 500
Since November 2009, it has been necessary to hold 2 Jummah Prayers in order to accommodate all the musalleen
Parking is also overcapacity – 5 to 7 volunteers are needed to coordinate parking on Fridays
