15. (1) The Regional Development Authority shall secure planned Powersend fundons of development of the Special lmesbnent Region and shall take steps for h Regional

(3) The Regbnat Devdoprnent Authwity shall, in particular, exercise the folbwing powers and perform the following functions, namely:-

i. to elm and earmark the area of the §pedal Invesbmnt Regiion for

ii. to prepare the development plan for whole or part of the area d the S p e d Investment Region;

ili. to undertake preparation and execution of town plannlng scheme for whole or part ofthe Spedal Investment Region;

vi. global marketing of the Special Investment Regions,'h Projects in and connected wtth the Spedal Invetsimnt Regions;

vii. raising finances from the market including financial and multilateral institutions;

vill. promoting and bringing in Private Swbr Participation in projects wlthln or mnectd wlth the Spedal Investment Region;

ix. entering into contracts and agreement with other entitles for any ofthe p u m assigned to it,
