Greetings, We are in the season of Advent – a time when we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Light of the World, the Prince of Peace. It is a time of excitement and celebration. Throughout our school there is a sense of anticipation. Light and peace fill our world, making it a better place. The world is still filled with corners of darkness where the demons of ignorance and prejudice lurk. These are corners where the light of knowledge and faith has not yet reached. If only we could reach every crevice with the light of learning, what a bright and faith filled world this would be for us all. Our world needs peace. Each day we read in the papers or see on television the tragedies that are the results of hate and fear. If only we could reach each mind that is twisted by hate and replace that hate with love and peace, how much better the world would become. The Peace and Light of Christ – in combination what wonders they produce! Ideally, they exist in our school community. Every day we strive to build a school community where kindness is the rule, where concern for one another is a part of our daily life, where students and faculty grow and thrive and contribute and find happiness, compassion and faith. If our lives can be filled with happiness, warmth and a spirit of giving this Christmas season, we can work at making that feeling last throughout the rest of the year. It takes work and cooperation and compassion, but, as a Catholic community, our faith will sustain us. Believing in Christmas challenges us to live in hope, and to reach out in love, abiding in the peace of Christ while remaining rooted in the resolve to be people of faith. May the blessings of Christmas sustain you through the coming year. Let us continue to pray for one another. Sincerely, Brother Thomas Schady F.M.S. Greetings,

We are in the season of Advent – a time when we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Light of the World, the Prince of Peace.

Sincerely,

Brother Thomas Schady F.M.S.Principal

On Friday, December 19th the school will gather to celebrate Advent/Christmas with a liturgy at 10:45am. We invite all members of the school community to attend. Parents and alumni are always welcome. This special time for prayer is an opportunity to celebrate as a community and express our thanks for God’s gift of Jesus in our lives.

This year the Christmas holiday begins Friday, Decemebr 19th (11:30am dismissal). Classes will resume on Monday, January 5th with a Day 5 schedule.
