iii) Members those who are not availing loan facility or having any Bank account attracts the provisionofdisqualificationundersection29(b)ofMultiStateCo-operativeSocietiesAct, 2002 read with Bye Law no. 13(d) of the Bank. The Board of Directors therefore requests all memberstoopentheiraccountwiththeBankandintimateaccountdetailstoCentralOfficeShare Department,HarbourCrest,MazagaonT.T.,Mumbai400010ornearestBranchrequestingthesaid Department/Branch to deposit their dividend in their respective Bank account.

iv) Members are requested to attend the Bank’s General Body Meetings at least once in three yearstoavoidattractionofprovisionofdisqualificationundersection29(c)ofMultiState Co-operativeSocietiesAct,2002readwithByeLawNo.13(c)oftheBank.

v) MembersthosewhohavenotyetobtainedtheirMembershipIdentityCardsarerequestedto submitTwolatestPassportSizePhotographstoShareOfficeratBank’sCentralOfficeShare DepartmentinordertoissuetheMembersIdentityCardtothem.

vi) ReserveBankofIndiahasinstructedallBankstocomplywiththeKYCofallaccountholdersas well as members which is mandatory and therefore the members those who are having accounts andnotcompliedwiththeKYCarerequestedtosubmitcopyoftheirPhotoIdentity,Proofof ResidenceandTwo latestPassportSizePhotographs immediately inorder toavoidany inconvenience or prohibition for operating the account in future. Account holders are also required tonotethatiftheaccountsremainingnon-operativeformorethan10years,balanceofsuchaccounts will be transferred and deposited in The Depositors Education & Awareness Fund 2014 with Reserve Bank of India as per guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India.

Members are therefore requested to provide to the Bank, information about achievements of their children /ward inSSC/HSC examinations held for the academic year 2018-2019, iftheirchildren/wardhavesecuredaggregate85%oraboveinSSCand80%orabovein HSC: a) Under the scheme, parent member who is registered on 31st March of the preceding year shall be eligible to apply. b) If both the parents are members, only one parent member will be eligible to apply.

DIRECTORS’ REPORTDear Members,The Board of Directors hereby presents this 50th Annual Report along with the Audited Balance Sheet as at 31stMarch,2019andtheProfit&LossAccountfortheyearendedMarch31,2019.

ECONOMICOUTLOOK:Theyear2018-19sawmorestableinflationandstabilityincrudeprice.ThisencouragedtheRBItoreducetheReporatetwiceduringtheyear.TheGDPgrowthwasaround7%belowtheexpectedlevelat7.5%.TheaftereffectofdemonetizationandGSThassubsidedanditisexpected7.5%GDPgrowthduring2019-20.ThoughmostofthebanksarestillundertheclutchesofgrowingNPAsthecomingyearisexpectedtobemoreeffectiveincontrollingandreducingNPAs.

GOLDEn JUBILEE yEAR :Theyear2019-20willbecelebratedasGOLDENJUBILEEyearofthebank.Thebankisenteringthethresholdofcompletionof50yearsofyomenservicetothecustomers.Thebankestablishedin1969ascreditsocietytocatertotheneedsofKokanipeopleinMumbaiandKokanregionbythevisionariesofthecommunityhassincegrownasmulti-statebankhavingbranchesinMaharashtraandGoastates.ThebankhascomewithnewdepositschemeslikeKOKANBANKGOLDENJUBILEESCHEME,LAKHPATIDEPOSITSCHEME,STUDENTSEDUCATIONDEPOSITSCHEMEetc.withattractiverateofinterest.Duringthe year the bank will conduct area wise get together and meetings of stake holders to mobilise the members and well wishers.

PERFORMANCEOVERVIEW:TheoverallperformanceoftheBankduringtheyearhadbeenprogressiveandsatisfactoryascomparedtothebankingindustryinthecountry.ThefinancialresultismainlyevidentintheprimebarometerofincreaseinDeposits,Advances,WorkingCapital,Reserve,GrossIncome,NetProfit&CRARoftheBank.ThesustainedeffortsofoneandallhaveenabledtheBanktoincreaseitsShareCapitalatRs. 1,621.25lakhsandReservestood at Rs. 10,739.64 lakhs. The Banks own fund stood at Rs. 12,360.87 lakhs and Deposit of the Bank stood at Rs. 59,146.83lakhsandAdvancesatRs. 40,602.31lakhsason31stMarch,2019.Bank’sWorkingCapital stood at Rs. 74,765.55 lakhs whereas Gross Income of the year stood at Rs. 7,164.33lakhs.Bank’sNetProfitfortheyear2018-19wasRs. 730.43 lakhs, which is all time high in the history of the Bank, after providingallstatutoryprovisionsandpaymentofincometax.The performance high lights of the year 2018-19areasunder:(Rs.Inlacs)

INVESTMENTS:TheReserveBankofIndiavideitsCircularNo.UBD.(PCB).MC.No.12/16.20.000/2010-11dated1stJuly,2010directedtheCo-operativeBankstocompulsorilyinvestinGovernmentandapprovedsecuritiestotheextentof25%ofitsNDTL.BankhascompliedwiththedirectiveofReserveBankofIndiaandinvestedinSLRSecuritiesinGOIandotherGovernmentapprovedsecurities.BankismaintainingitsDematAccountwithHDFCBankLtd. and SGL Account with ICICI Bank Ltd. All the transactions of sale and purchase are routed through SGL andDematAccount.ScheduleannexedtoBalanceSheetgivesadetailedpositionofinvestmentinvarioussecurities.Further,theBankhasstartedTradinginGovernmentSecuritiesduringtheyearandearnedprofitof Rs. 20.43 lacs.

AUDIT&INSPECTION:M/sYardiPrabhu&AssociatesLLP,CharteredAccountantconductedthestatutoryauditoftheBankfortheyearended31stMarch,2019andhavegiven"A"classAuditCertificationfortheyear2018-2019.InordertohavebettercheckonthedaytodayfunctioningoftheBank,thedifferentCharteredAccountantswereappointedas InternalandConcurrentauditors foreveryDistrict i.e.M/sVindu&Associates,CharteredAccountantscarriedoutInternal-cum-ConcurrentAuditofCentralOfficeBranch,KausaBranchandallsixRatnagiriDistrictBrancheswhereasM/sFakih&Co.,CharteredAccountant,MumbaicarriedoutConcurrentAuditofremainingBranches of Mumbai and Thane District as well as Internal-cum-Concurrent Audit for Raigad District Branches andwhereasM/sBhagawathi&BhatCharteredAccountant,wasappointedasInternal-cum-ConcurrentAuditorforPanjim(Goa)Branch.

CAPITALTORISKASSETSRATIO(CRAR):ReserveBankofIndiahasmadeitmandatorytomaintainCapitalAdequacynormseventoCo-operativeBanks.WearepleasedtoinformyouthatyourBankisadequatelymaintainingtheCRAR(CapitaltoRiskAssetsRatio)which as on 31st March, 2019 stood at 18.04%asagainstrequiredrateof9.00%asperReserveBankofIndia.

PERMISSIONTOOPENNRE(RUPEEDEPOSIT)ACCOUNTS:WearepleasedtoinformyouthatduringtheyearBankreceivedpermissionfromReserveBankofIndiatoopenandmaintainNREAccounts.TheBankreceivedverygoodresponsefromtheIndiansstayingabroadasithasbecomeconvenientforthemtotransferfundstotheirfamilyandrelatives,hasslefree.TheBankcouldmobilizedepositofRs. 10.76 crore in NRE accounts till date.

SHIFTINGTONEWCBS:Inordertoprovidehasslefreeandsmoothbankingservicestothecustomers,theBankhasmigratedtonewCoreBankingSoftwareFinCoreofM/sFinacusSoftwareSolutionsPvt.Ltd.on15thJuly,2019withmanyadded features being persistently demanded by the customers. Though in the initial stage of migration, we counteredmanyproblems.Thesystemhasnowstabilisedandwillhelpustoprovidemanydesiredproductsto our customers. We are thankful to all those customers who supported us during and after migration.

MOBILE BAnKInG APP : TheReserveBankofIndia,afterconsideringthefinancialstabilityandotheraspects,allowedtheBanktolaunchitsownmobileapplicationandbecamepartofUPI.TheMobileApplicationisunderpreparationbytheI.T.Teamandwillbelaunchedveryshortly.WiththisfacilitytheCustomerswouldbeabletocarryoutbankingactivitiesaspertheirconvenienceandevenwhiletravelling.

ByE LAWS :TheBoardofDirectorshasproposedamendmentstotheByeLawsNo.1(iv),2(x),4(A)(ix),10(iii),34(A),35(2),45,46,49,50(c),51and64detailsofwhichareavailableinthisreport,whicharerequiredtobeamendedforbeingatparwithremainingotherrelevantlawsandcircularsrevisedbyReserveBankofIndiaandotherregulators from time to time.

HUMANRESOURCE&TRAININGTODIRECTORSANDSTAFF:BankisregularlydeputingstaffandofficerstovarioustrainingcentressuchasCollegeofAgriculturalBanking,ReserveBankofIndia,Pune,VaikunthMehtaNationalInstituteofCo-operativeManagementetc.fromtimetotime.Further,theBankisalsoarranginginhousetrainingprogramsforthestaffbyreputedtrainersandoutside faculties.TheBank has also given extensive training to all the staffmembers of theBank in newCBS beforeimplementation.

WeconductedourauditinaccordancewiththeStandardsonAuditing(SAs)issuedbytheInstituteofCharteredAccountants of India (ICAI).Our responsibilities under those standardsare further described in theAuditor’s ResponsibilitiesfortheAuditoftheFinancialStatementssectionofourreport.WeareindependentofthebankinaccordancewiththecodeofethicsissuedbytheICAItogetherwithethicalrequirementsthatarerelevanttoourauditofthefinancialstatementsundertheprovisionsoftheBankingRegulationsAct,1949andtherulesmadethereunderandundertheprovisionsoftheMultiStateCooperativeSocietiesAct,2002andtherulesmadethereunderandwehavefulfilledourotherethicalresponsibilitiesinaccordancewiththeserequirementsandthecodeofethics.WebelievethattheauditevidencewehaveobtainedissufficientandappropriatetoprovideabasisforouropinionontheFinancialStatements.
