Committee members are required to:

1. Consider Section 73 and 75 of the Local Government Act 1999 and determine whether they have a material, actual or perceived conflict of interest in any matter to be considered in the agenda, and

2. Disclose these interests in accordance with the requirements of Sections 74

and 75A of the Local Government Act 1999 on the approved ‘Declaration of Committee Members Conflict of Interest’ form (accessible via council’s website, the Elected Members Extranet or upon request) and forward to the responsible officer no later than 12 noon on the day prior to the meeting.

5. Business 5.1 Shade Structure – Loxton North Sports club 1-3 A request has been received by the Loxton North Sports Club seeking permission to erect a shade structure near the main entrance to the clubrooms.

The structure and building works will be funded by the Loxton North Sports Club. The request received and photo of proposed design is attached.

Recommendation: That the Loxton North Recreation Grounds Committee 1. Support the request from the Loxton North Sports Club to erect a shade structure at the Loxton North Sporting Complex. 2. Request that Council give permission to the Loxton North Sports Club to submit a development application to council for the purpose of erecting the shade structure on council land. 3. That council give permission for the application to be lodged on the basis that all costs associated with the installation of the shade structure be funded by the Loxton North Sports Club. 4. That council agrees to wave Development Application fees for the amount of

$314.50.

Firstly may I thank you and your committee in working together to get the best outcome for the

Loxton North Sporting Complex, together we are achieving many goals.

Further to our discussions I now formally write to you asking for your support as we work towards

the erection of a 9.6 x 5m Stratco shade structure ( photo attached – with full engineered

specifications to follow ) on the premise near our current scope of works.

The Stratco structure will compliment the current development as well as the existing buildings and

add a space that the entire Loxton North Community will be able to utilise.

Ben Williams constructions will oversee the building and will do all of the necessary works to achieve

the development and building approvals required on receipt of council approval to proceed with the

structure on council grounds.

We ask that this matter is given some urgency as it would make good business sense for works to

compliment each other on this project.
