For Japanese beet le control, the f o g machine serves double duty. T o a t tack the pernicious beetles on-the-wing, a mix of D D T in f o g oil is w a f t e d over the landscape. For the even more voracious grubs in the ground which play havoc with the greens, chlordane is added and the f o g is driven downward toward the soil.

A t the A lbany Country club, the porch of the lodge house is g i ven regular cover-age so the guests can dine al f resco in comfo r t : the tennis courts, bathing beach and even the caddies ' p layground are s imi lar ly blanketed. The greens ge t a thorough blanket e v e r y week, thus e l im-inat ing at least one hazard mosquitoes f r om the p lay ing .

Cost of the f o g machine may not be within the range of the smal ler clubs when it is used f o r club and course use only but O g g points out that the price Is not out of line when one takes into con-sideration the many uses f o r which it can he used. The f a c t that much revenue can be der ived by f o g g i n g member 's lawns, shrubbery and gardens or communi ty park and p layground areas makes it a good investment.
