Nottingham Trent University Case Study
Brief Our dealer’s client, Nottingham Trent University were looking to inject a breath of fresh air into their Heart of Campus buildings project. Following an internal consultation with their staff and students at a Furniture Showcase event in March 2015, the most talked about insight from the students was the need to focus on some open collaborative working spaces where they can work in small groups.

Solution The furniture supplied by Frem Group had been selected to provide a variety of environments to facilitate a number of study styles and to have gravitas worthy of Nottingham Trent University’s new “head office” at Clifton.
A number of collaborative spaces fully equipped with audio visual equipment to facilitate group study by way of 9 purpose built pods were manufactured and installed by Frem. The colour ways of the pods’ upholstery using Kvadrat Steelcut were chosen to complement the construction materials of the new buildings, in particular the glazed brickwork to the Pavilion pods and timber acoustic balustrading.
Frem also manufactured high level benching which again proves extremely popular for both academic and social activities.
