Our Instructors

Dee Ayala

Dee has always been enthralled with fi ber arts of all sorts, including clothing, embroidery, cross stitch, needlepoint, quilting, crochet and knitting. Her inter-est in the arts, travel, and museums have inspired her eclectic creations. With a background in science education, Dee brings a keen desire to delve into all aspects of knitting and to “share the joy” with others.

Natascha Davis

Born in the Netherlands, Natascha learned to knit at age 4 and has been at it ever since. A frequent attendee at master classes and workshops, she is always eager to lift the veil on the knitting quandaries of all. Besides knitting and various other needlecrafts, Natascha likes to cook, ski, and kayak.

Douglas Dickinson

Douglas has been spinning animal and plant fi bers since 2000, using both the spinning wheel and drop spindle to produce yarns. He has been involved with sheep and wool events around New England, teaching the methods of spinning fi bers. His other interests include weaving, rug hooking and felting.

Nancy Gould

A graduate of, and former instructor at FIT in New York City, Nancy Gould is the owner of The Sheep Shoppe and has worked as a professional knit designer for more than 30 years. She loves sharing her passion for fi ne fi ber, design, and color. When she’s not knitting, felting, spinning, or dreaming up ideas for the shop, Nancy can be found in the garden or wandering in the woods with her dogs Onslow and Annie.
