muerte con los dem(s integrantes de los

distintos distritos) *olo hay un ganador el cual

reci'e suministros #ara su distrito. Estos

juegos son un recordatorio anual #ara los +

distritos, de la autoridad del Ca#itolio, y el castigo #or su re'elión de hace muchos

años atr(s.

En el -istrito +, atniss Eerdeen, de diecis/is años, se ocu#a de su madre y

de su hermana Prim , ya que su #adre murió en un accidente en un mina. La joen

caza ilegalmente alimentos fuera de las allas del -istrito + con su amigo 0ale.

Prim, de + años, tiene su nom're colocado en la cosecha #or #rimera ez y eselegida ines#eradamente. atniss se ofrece oluntaria #ara sustituir a su hermana

en los juegos. Ella com#ite contra otros tri'utos, as" como Peeta 1ellar2, el tri'uto

hom're de -istrito +, que ha amado en secreto desde su infancia a atniss, y

tuo una ez en un acto de 'ondad hacia ella) el cual nunca #udo olidar.

3ntes de comenzar Los juegos del ham're, se le da un estilista, Cinna, 4que se

ocu#a de #re#ararla est/ticamente #ara causar una 'uena im#resión y as" #oder

conseguir #atrocinadores con mas facilidad5 &aymitch, un 'orracho y el 6nico

encedor io del -istrito +, es mentor de am'os jóenes antes y durante Los

%uegos del &am're.

Una ez en la arena, atniss de'e confiar en sus ha'ilidades de caza ilegal, su

sigilo y elocidad, y su ingenio #ara so'reiir. En el transcurso de los juegos

conoce a quien luego seria una aliada, la m(s #equeña miem'ro de los juegos,

7ue del distrito ++ quien muere a causa de un es#adazo. atniss r(#idamente se

gana enemigos entre los tri'utos #rofesionales de los distritos + y , que se

sienten amenazados #or la #o#ularidad de la joen con el #6'lico. Ella tam'i/n

tiene que luchar contra la ra'ia del Ca#itolio y $dar en un 'uen es#ect(culo$ a fin

de reci'ir ayuda alimentaria y de tener #atrocinadores. Pero el desaf"o m(s duro

#ara atniss en la arena se #resenta cuando tiene que cuidar a Peeta, ya que la

ley de los juegos que #ermite un solo ganador es cam'iada y #or ende, #ueden

quedar dos jóenes, siem#re y cuando sean del mismo distrito. 8inalmente se

enfrentan al ultimo tri'uto llamado Cato, a quien derrotan. Pero cuando #iensan

que todo ha terminado, anuncian que la ley que #ermite dos ganadores ha sido

a'olida, forz(ndolos a matarse, #ero ellos deciden $suicidarse$ juntos comiendo

unas frutas enenosas. 7(#idamente los re#resentantes del Ca#itolio #ermiten

que am'os jóenes regresen triunfantes a su distrito.

fight the rage of the Ca#itol and $gie a good sho:$ in order to receie food aid and

hae s#onsors. =ut the hardest to atniss in the arena challenge comes :hen you

hae to ta2e care of Peeta, since the la: of the game that allo:s a single :inner is

changed and therefore can 'e t:o young, as long as they are in the same district.

8inally they face the last tri'ute called Cato, :ho defeated. =ut :hen they thin2 it?s

all oer, they announce that the la: allo:s t:o :inners has 'een a'olished, forcing

them to 2ill themseles, 'ut they decide to $commit suicide$ together eating a

Entre ellos surge un romance dificultoso ya que Ed:ard es un #eligro #ara =ella,

#ero /l no quiere a#artarse de ella y ella tam#oco se quiere alejar de /l, ya que su

amor es m(s fuerte que el deseo de Ed:ard de saciar su sed y morderla #ara

'e'er su sangre, que #ara /l era mucho m(s atrayente que cualquier otra cosa en

todo el mundo.

Ed:ard inita a =ella a conocer a su familia, y tam'i/n a ir a er cómo juegan

al '/is'ol, juego que disfrutan en es#ecial cuando hay tormenta, #ero mientras

est(n jugando a#arecen tres am#irosF %ames, Laurent y Gictoria. %ames es un

rastreador, la caza es su o'sesión y decide ir a caza #or =ella, #ese de la defensa

Ed:ard trata de #rotegerla escondi/ndola y toda su familia trata de ahuyentar al

cazador. =ella uele a Phoeni! huyendo y haciendo creer a su #adre que no

quiere #asar el resto de su ida en un #ue'lo como 8or2s. Es as" como =ella #arte

en un coche con %as#er y 3lice, mientras Ed:ard se queda en 8or2s #ara no

leantar sos#echas. %ames aca'a encontr(ndolos y engaña a =ella haci/ndose

#asar #or su madre, #ara que aya a una escuela de 'allet a la que fue durante su

niñez. La amenaza con matar a su madre, haci/ndola creer que la ha ra#tado, si

no se re6ne con /l a solas.

=ella se esca#a de quienes le #rotegen, arriesgando la ida #or su madre y seencuentra que todo ha sido un engaño. Est( a solas con %ames y /l #retende

matarla. Em#ieza a gol#earla y llega a morderle en la muñeca. Llega un #unto en

que queda inconsciente y sueña que hay un (ngel a su alrededor, cuando en

realidad es Ed:ard, que ha llegado a la escena con su familia. El doctor Cullen

em#ieza a curar a =ella y Ed:ard se e o'ligado a sacarle la #onzoña de su

cuer#o #ara que ella no se conierta en am#iro.

=ella des#ierta d"as des#u/s en un hos#ital, acom#añada #or su madre y Ed:ard.Este 6ltimo le dice que de'er"an #ermanecer alejados el uno del otro #orque es

#eligroso #ara ella, #ero ninguno de los dos #uede estar sin el otro.

The threat to 2ill his mother, ma2ing her 'eliees that he has 2idna##ed, if it does

not meet :ith him alone.

=ella esca#es from those :ho #rotect him, ris2ing his life for his mother and finds

that it :as all a hoa!. &e is alone :ith %ames and he intended to 2ill her. &e 'eginsto 'eat and comes to 'ite him on the :rist. There comes a #oint that remains

unconscious and dreams that there is an angel around him, :hen in fact Ed:ard,

:ho has arried on the scene :ith his family. -r. Cullen 'egins to heal =ella and

Ed:ard is forced to get the #oison from her 'ody so she does not 'ecome a

am#ire.

=ella :a2es u# days later in a hos#ital, accom#anied 'y her mother and Ed:ard.

The latter says they should stay a:ay from each other 'ecause it is dangerous for

her, 'ut neither can 'e :ithout the other.

su li'ro faorito. 0racias a mensajes y llamadas, su relación cada d"a fue

mejorando. 3ugustus consigue la dirección de correo electrónico de la asistente de

Peter Gan &outen 4el autor de Un dolor imperial 5 y junto con &azel le escri'en

cartas al autor. Hl les res#onde que no les dir( que ocurre des#u/s del final de Un

dolor imperial a no ser que se ean en #ersona. 0us ha'"a guardado el deseo queuna fundación les entrega a los niños con c(ncer y decide usarlo #ara iajar con

&azel a Amsterdam #ara conocer al autor del li'ro. &azel est( muy feliz #or el

iaje, #ero tam'i/n decide que no quiere que ella y 0us sean m(s que amigos,

#orque no quer"a que cuando ella muriese /l sintiese dolor #or su #/rdida.

Una noche, &azel se des#ierta con un dolor

fuerte en la ca'eza del cual #ensa'a que era un

tumor, #orque el c(ncer se #od"a e!#andir, #ero

sólo fue la falta de o!"geno y el l"quido en sus

#ulmones el que ocasionó todo as" que fue

internada en la UC;. -es#u/s de reci'ir el alta y

algunas consultas a sus doctores, &azel

consigue el #ermiso #ara iajar a Amsterdam

con su madre y con 0us. En el iaje de ida, 0us

confiesa a &azel que est( enamorado de ella yqueda sor#rendida #ero no #uede decirle que

ella tam'i/n lo ama #or miedo a lastimarlo en un

futuro cuando muera. 3l d"a siguiente de su llegada, se encuentran con el autor y

descu'ren que su asistente fue quien armó todo sin el consentimiento de Gan

&outen con las es#eranzas de que todo esto lo motiara #ara dejar de ser un

alcohólico y oler a escri'ir. 1olestos #or el com#ortamiento grosero del autor, se

retiran de su casa. 3l rato la asistente los alcanza y se dirigen a la Casa de 3na

8ran2, donde &azel y 0us se 'esan #or #rimera ez. Cuando regresan al hotel, y

al er que la madre de &azel no esta'an, am'os tienen su #rimera relación se!ual.

3l siguiente d"a, 0us a#roecha #ara contarle a &azel de que su c(ncer ha uelto,

haciendo met(stasis en arias #artes de su cuer#o, y que aunque lo traten con un

r/gimen intensio, sus es#eranzas de ida son muy #ocas.

Poco tiem#o des#u/s, 0us le #ide a su mejor amigo y a &azel que le hagan un

#re9funeral en el cual les #ide que escri'an un discurso, simulando un elatorio.

una li'reta de 0us. &azel contacta con la e!9asistente de Gan &outen, quien a en

'usca de las hojas #erdidas a la casa del autor, encontr(ndolas y eni(ndoselas a

Pero a medida que aanza el li'ro te as enganchando cada ez m(s, quieres

sa'er todo acerca de los dos #rotagonistas y el resto de secundarios. Porque a mi

amor. Es dulce, rom(ntico, detallista e inteligente. Un #ersonaje que dar( mucho

en la tierra, aliment(ndose de los humanos sin dañarlos, a tra/s de la mirada

Todo em#ieza cuando Lena des#ierta en una casa totalmente desconocida #ara

ella, cree que ha tenido un accidente y no recuerda nada. Nada más lejos de la

realidad . Cuando em#ieza a inestigar qu/ es lo que #osi'lemente le ha ocurrido,

se cruza con el gran #redador m(s #eligroso que e!iste, Christian -u'ois, claro

que ella no sa'e que est( muerta y es una cazadora y el un ser tan #eligroso que

es ca#az de matarla con solo mirarle a los ojos. -es#u/s de que su nuea

hermana le adierta que ni se le ocurra acercarse a Cristian #orque es un asesino

lamentando su estado de confusión y #idiendo la muerte a todas horas y a
