Hospital district 2013 provisional budget
The 2013 provisional budget
of the Columbia ShuswapRegional Hospital District(CSRHD) was approved bythe Board.
The remaining debt of
$15,747 will be retired in
August 2013.
The CSRHD had been estab-lished to raise funds for capi-tal projects within the Hospi-
tal District area.
It has been replaced by theNorth Okanagan ColumbiaShuswap Regional HospitalDistrict.
Sorrento Waterworks Service AreaFollowing a successful publicassent process, the Boardadopted a bylaw that extendsthe boundary of the Sorrentowaterworks to include theformer Copperview water-
works service area. The twocommunities are now con-nected through a watermainthat runs along the Trans Can-ada Hwy.

ings to a bylaw that will in-clude seven properties alongthe watermain right-of-wayinto the Sorrento waterworksas well.

tion and size of the water pipe
render it inadequate.
If the grant is approved, there
are sufficient funds in the
airport capital reserve to sup-
ply 50 per cent for the project.
Board approves Grant-in-Aid requests
The Board approved the fol-lowing grant-in-aid requests:

Boat Team - $1,800.
Area DRanchero Deep Creek Com-munity Association

Falkland and District Com-munity Association - $5,000;Falkland and District CurlingClub - $1,900.
Area ESicamous & District SeniorsCentre Society - $1,750; Ma-
lakwa Community CentreAssociation - $3,500; Smart
Community Living Society(SMARTCL) - $4,000; EagleValley Community SupportSociety - $10,000.
Area FScotch Creek Fire Department- $60,000 for the community
hall upgrade.
Board will send a letter of support
The Board unanimouslyagreed to provide a letter ofsupport to the Literacy Alli-ance of the Shuswap Society
for its application for a Com-munity Gaming Grant.
The Society will use grant
funds to maintain literacyprograms and initiatives foryouth and adults in the North
Okanagan Shuswap area.
