Local Church Events3rd Annual Love Luncheon for 2015 Friday, December 11, 2015 at 11:30 AM at Long Branch Baptist Church. Our theme this year is entitled, "A Purple Christmas, Walking In Royalty.“ We are embarking on our 3rd Annual Love Luncheon for 2015. In order to make it a continued success, we are asking that you partner with us in giving from your heart this year. Our theme for this year is “A Purple Christmas, Walking in Royalty.” The vision is to provide the listed items to all of the women who will be attending the luncheon this year. We are expecting at 250+ women to attend and we want to be able to share as much love as possible. Donations can be dropped off no later than Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Long Branch Baptist Church located at 28 Bolt Street, Greenville, SC 29605. Listed below are the following wish list items:

Russell National School Lunch Act (42 U.S.C. 1759a(a)(1))(the law) to provide an alternative to household applications for free and reduced-price meals in local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools with increased levels of low-income students. This alternative is referred to as the Community Eligibility Provision. All students enrolled in the schools listed above may participate in the breakfast and lunch program at no charge to them. Families will not have to fill out meal applications.Breakfast and lunch meals follow the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) guidelines for healthy school meals. talent competition for high school students. Winners will compete at the National NAACP ACT-SO event in Ohio (July 2016). July 2015, Olivia Hopkins won a Gold medal, $2200

· Greenville Branch of the NAACP is also soliciting ladies to participate in the annual Woman of the Year competition held in March, 2016. Greenville Branch of the NAACP ACT-SO National Competition* The NAACP will celebrate the 67th Birthday of Mr. Truman Humbert Saturday, November 22, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Reedy River Missionary Baptist Church. This fund raising event will benefit 29 local high school students to compete in 2016 National NAACP Convention. All proceeds will provide the airfare, housing and food allowance for the 29 students. SOS Community Chorale Annual Christmas Concert
SOS Community Chorale’s Annual Christmas Concert under the direction of Mr. Calvin Campbell and Mr. Phillip Martin will be Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Reedy River Missionary Baptist Church. Proceeds will benefit the Reedy River Trustee Spouses Dinky O’Neal Scholarship Fund and the Southernside Community Center.
