VOLUNTEER THANK YOU Thank you to all the volunteers who helped with the Fall Carnival. Dear Cool Cats— October was an outstanding month here at Lewisville. The students have settled into their routines and lots of learning is occurring in our classrooms. In the next few weeks your child’s teacher will be contacting you to schedule a parent conference. I would encourage everyone to attend. This is the best way for you to learn where your child is academically. If you have questions before the conference or at anytime during the year please contact the school. Teachers can be reached during their planning times or after school for telephone calls or conferences. Stopping by for unan- nounced conferences before school is not recommended. Teachers are expected to greet their students at 7:40AM. It is important that the teachers have time and privacy to address your needs. Notes or e-mails are also other ways to successfully communicate with teachers. Our PTA Fundraiser was a great success!! A big thank you goes out to our parents and students that raised money and our PTA members for setting it all up and donating their time. VOLUNTEER THANK YOU

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped

with the Fall Carnival.

Dear Cool Cats—

October was an outstanding month here at Lewisville.

The students have settled into their routines and lots of learning is occurring in our classrooms.

In the next few weeks your child’s teacher will be

contacting you to schedule a parent conference. I would

encourage everyone to attend. This is the best way for

you to learn where your child is academically. If you

have questions before the conference or at anytime

during the year please contact the school. Teachers can

be reached during their planning times or after school for

telephone calls or conferences. Stopping by for unan-

nounced conferences before school is not recommended.

Teachers are expected to greet their students at 7:40AM.

It is important that the teachers have time and privacy to

address your needs. Notes or e-mails are also other ways

to successfully communicate with teachers. Our PTA Fundraiser was a great success!! A big

thank you goes out to our parents and students that

raised money and our PTA members for setting it all up

and donating their time.

As always, I would like to thank you for your

dedication and support of Lewisville Elementary. I would

like to wish each of you a Happy Thanksgiving season.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

LEW ISVI LLE TI MES NOV EM BER 20 16

Flu Season is here again -

This is a reminder to all parents to keep a watchful eye on their children, regardless of age, in order to detect certain symptoms of illness. These symptoms include vomiting, diar-rhea, sore throat, rashes, ear pain, mucus or redness in their eyes. These conditions along with a fever may need to be addressed by a

doctor.

Please bring ALL ALUMINUM CANS to Lewisville Elemen-tary School to help our CAN-DO Recycling program. Each trailer full of cans earns mon-ey for our P.T.A. The red trailer is located by the en-trance on Lewisville-Clemmons Rd. by the water tower. Please place ONLY aluminum cans in the trailer

and all bags and trash in the trash bag attached to the side of the trailer. If you have any questions about this program please call the school at (336) 703-4224.
