November 6, 2016 Announcements Everyone please bring a non-perishable food item to worship on Sunday, November 20. All items will be given to The Open Door. Christmas Angels Gift Ministry 2016 Wish lists will be available at Acts 2:42 dinner on November 9 and November 16, and can also be selected before and after each service starting November 13 through December 4. To volunteer with the ministry, call Dawn Brown at 828-421-1760. Please join Women to Women Wednesday in the Venue at 6:30 pm for Better Health for Women, Naturallypresented by Dr. Linda Sparks, N.D. Dr. Sparks has received extensive training in natural medicine including Clinical Nutrition, Homeopathy, Herbal Medicine, Holistic Counseling, Bio-therapeutic Drainage/Detox and Chinese Medicine. She graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Med- icine with honors, has lectured around the nation and is passionate about teaching and helping people learn about natural healthcare. No registration required. ITS A PARTY...and now comes the time to celebrate. On Wednesday evening, November 16, at 6:15 pm in The Venue we will have our Longs Chapel OCC Packing Party. We get to pack 300 shoe boxes with all the items collected over this year, write notes for each box, and pray for the child who will receive it. This is a joyful night and the excitement in the room is something you will never for- get. Please bring a picture of your family to put in the boxes you pack and know that the child who receives it will keep and treasure your picture forever. This party is for everyone, and if you ask anyone who has been before, watch the huge smile break out on their faces. What a wonderful way to begin the holiday season, by giving to a child and introducing them to Jesus. Also note that shoe boxes are avail- able in the Gathering Area to the congregation for all who want to pack a box personally. As always feel free to call the Jarrells with any questions at 246-0331.
