    Arielle says: Whether Im photographing an abandonedtown, house, or prairie scenery I always try my best tocapture the eeling, the moment, and the memory o eachlocation. Each place is a beautiul piece o history that needsto be remembered. I hope that through my photography youare able to be drawn into the photo; to eel the breeze onyour skin, the sound o the waving grasses, the water lappingagainst the shore, the creak and groan o the old structure oan abandoned house and the ghostly presence o the amilywho once lived there. Each location has its own distinctawareness, tangibility and nostalgia and Im honored to

    have the chance to be able to share it with you. My goal isto convey the very essence o Montana with you, mixed ocourse with my prairie heritage o North Dakota. Although I love many fine arts, photography was neversomething I truly considered until my mom was diagnosedwith cancer in 2009. I lived three hours away rom her atthe time, and wanted to show her windows to the world inwhich I lived, as she was ofen too sick to leave the house.

    Wheatgrass Arts & Gallery features Artist of the Month tonight alented artist and photographer Arielle Seibold isWheatgrass Arts & Gallerys November Artist o the Month.Tere will be a reception this evening beginning at 5:30.Photo buffs and art connoisseurs are encouraged to attend.Rereshments will be provided. Arielles display includes several photos o the old GalpinChurch on the bench between Fort Peck and Glasgow.

    My photos evolved rom quick snapshots to photos in whicI put all the time and love I had. Mom was always my biggesencouragement when it came to pursuing photography, aneven though she is gone now I still try to take each photo ai I were trying to share with her the eeling and memory oeach place I capture.

    A man walked into the Womens Departmento Macys in New York City. He told the sales lady, Iwould like a Southern Baptist bra or my wie, size 36B.

    With a quizzical look the sales lady asked Whatkind o bra?

    He repeated, A Southern Baptist bra. She said totell you that she wanted a Southern Baptist Bra, andthat you would know what she wanted. Ah, now I remember, said the sales lady. We

    dont get as many requests or them as we used to.Mostly our customers lately want the Catholic bra, orthe Salvation Army bra, or the Presbyterian type. Conused, and a little flustered, the man asked,So, what are the differences?

    Te lady responded It is all really quite simple.Te Catholic type supports the masses. Te SalvationArmy lifs up the allen, and the Presbyterian typekeeps them staunch and upright. He mused on that inormation or a minute, andfinally asked, So, what is the Southern Baptist type

    or?Tey, she replied, make mountains out o

    molehills.

    While driving in Pennsylvania, a amily caughtup to an Amish carriage. Te owner o the carriageobviously had a sense o humor, because attached to theback o the carriage was a hand printed sign;

    Energy efficient vehicle: Runs on oats and grass.Caution: Do not step in exhaust.

    When I went to get my drivers license renewed,our local motor-vehicle bureau was packed. Te lineinched along or almost an hour until the man ahead ome finally got his license. He inspected his photo or amoment and commented to the clerk, I was standing inline so long, I ended up looking pretty grouchy in thispicture. Te clerk looked at his picture closely. Its okay,she reassured the man, thats how youre going to lookwhen the cops pull you over anyway.
