Message from the President2014 is off to a great start, promising to be a memorable one for years to come. We started it off in February with a very successful “Charting a Course to Success” Annual Dinner, as we celebrated the Tourism Person of the Year, Businesses of the Year along with the Mr. Clearwater Award. The nautical themed evening had a lot of energy and was well received by all who attended. Congratulations to all of our 2013 Winners and Nominees. We are lucky to have you all as members. Also, a special thanks to our Presenting Sponsors: Bright House Networks and Duke Energy.

We have so much to look forward to in the coming year. The Chamber staff is working on exciting events, a new business development seminar and ways to connect with all the members. We hope that you are looking forward to the 2014!

Enjoy the beautiful spring weather and don’t forget to make it out to see the Phillies.

The Clearwater Chamber operates in the interests of its members. In order to create some fun and buzz the Ambassador Council created an initiative that will assist members in growing their business. Operation “Member Connect” is a program created by the Clearwater Chamber Ambassador Council. This is a “feet on the street” event where a team of Ambassadors and the Chamber Staff will visit our members at their place of business on a quarterly basis. The primary focus of the campaign is to:

• Demonstrate the Chamber’s support for their business success• Verify the accuracy of member data and e-mail distribution• Educate members about Chamber opportunities and involvement• Gather member feedback regarding their Chamber membership

The kick off for this campaign will take place the first week of March and will begin with a series of e-mails and announcements to the members regarding the visits. One of the messages will give members the opportunity to ask for a visit.
