Where do I find this info?

There will always be a page sharing the publication information at the beginning of the book.

Before the story begins, I found the name of the publishing company, the year of publication and the location of publication on this page.

Some tricky questions that you should ask . . .

What if there is more than one copyright/publication date?

What if there are multiple locations of publication?

What if there is no author?

Formatting your Work Cited Page

As you know, your page should be double spaced, 12p. Size and Times New Roman. Also, the title, “Works Cited” should be centered at the top of your page. Also, you need to

use a special type of formatting called a Hanging Indent.

Hanging Indent

First, highlight your citations with your mouse.Go to • Format• Paragraph• There will be a

drop down box entitled “Special”.

• Choose “hanging” and click OK.

Hanging Indent . . .

From there, your Works Cited Page should look like this:

This is how its done . . .

Regardless of the type of Microsoft Word you own, click on:• Format• Insert• Page Number• You will choose the

page number on the top right hand side.

Once you’ve done this, you have the option to type anything beside the page number.Take this opportunity to type your last name. Remember to capitalize the first letter and do not add any punctuation!

How it helps . . .
