Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome back. I hope everybody had a restful and enjoyable Easter
break.
It was great to have so many students and parents turn out to march
with us at the Anzac Day march in Nowra yesterday and this
morning’s Anzac service at school was equally well attended by
parents and family! You will be pleased to know that your children
did you proud and represented our school very well.
I would like to thank our special guest Commander Natasha Burney,
Sargeant Jason Barrett and Mr Fred Dawson from the Greenwell Point
Nowra RSL. It was also fantastic to have Commander Andrew
Watson, Leading Seaman Warwick Douglas and Able Seaman
Michael Starkey, from the South Coast Chapter of the Veteran's
Motorcycle Club. The Harley’s were a big hit with the kids!

FIIST (SMALL SCHOOLS) CROSS COUNTRY CARNIVAL
The Small Schools Cross Country Carnival is on this Friday, 28th April at ‘Willandra’ Cross Country course
in West Cambewarra. All 8-13 year old children received a permission note at the end of last term.
Please have money (total cost $9.00) and permission note in by TOMORROW please. Children will
return to school by 2.45pm. Children who are asthmatics, MUST bring their puffer and run with it on
the course.
STATE SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS
In the last week of Term 1, Matthew Higham represented the South
Coast in 4 individual events at the State Swimming Championships at
Olympic Park in Homebush. Despite making the final in 3 of his 4
events and setting PB’s in some of his events, Matthew was not able
to qualify for the National Swimming Championships. He came very
close to representing at the National Championships in backstroke
where a few hundreds of a second kept him from a representative
spot. A fantastic effort from a very capable and humble athlete. Well
done Matthew.
NO ASSEMBLY THIS FRIDAY
Due to the Cross Country being held this Friday, there will be no
assembly this week.
