About the ForumThe National PACE Association (NPA) invites you to join us for the 2019 NPA Spring Policy Forum in Washington, DC.

The coming year has significant potential for PACE, with new PACE-specific regulations expected to debut, along with many other anticipated health care policy changes. Attending the Spring Policy Forum will give you an opportunity to hear directly from experts about the issues of greatest interest to you, as well as to share your thoughts with legislators and other policy-makers.

During the two-day event, attendees will interact with political, legislative and policy experts. Policy issues will be the focus of the first day of the forum, while the second day will emphasize politics and advocacy.

We welcome you to attend the forum to learn, advocate, and network about the issues affecting PACE today and in the future.

NPA Capitol Hill Advocacy Day PACE growth and innovation cannot take place effectively without the ongoing support of federal elected officials. Your U.S. senators and representatives need to hear from you directly since PACE leaders are the best-equipped messengers to share the beneficial differences PACE makes in the lives of participants, families and communities.

Join us on April 2 as we head to Capitol Hill to make our voices heard. Members of Congress and their staff are eager to learn more about the PACE model of care, your program and

participants, and how federal policy can best support PACE quality, efficiency, growth and innovation.

Through a pre-conference webinar, attendees will receive information about conducting Capitol Hill visits and communicating PACE policy priorities. Advocacy training also will be provided as part of the forum. In addition, advocacy resources will be posted on the NPA website and made available on the Spring Policy Forum mobile app for on-site reference.

The NPA Policy Team is happy to provide support to you in scheduling and conducting Hill meetings. For more information, contact Francesca Fierro O’Reilly, vice president of Advocacy.

Program Highlights

View from the HillThis panel discussion will allow participants to hear about the latest developments on Capitol Hill from key congressional health policy staffers. Representing both sides of the aisle, panelists will provide an overview of health care priorities and possible legislative activities in the House and Senate.

Political UpdateThe bipartisan duo of Dean Rosen and David Thomas will lead this session. These longtime politicos will inform us about the politics of Washington, both now and looking ahead. What dynamics are driving congressional priorities and actions? This panel will address the impact of the larger political environment on the White House, Congress, and the rest of the nation.

CMS UpdatesThis session affords attendees the opportunity to hear directly from CMS staff about recent guidance and important policy and regulatory issues impacting PACE organizations.

State Policy UpdateOfficials of state administering agencies and representatives of PACE organizations will discuss important issues facing PACE organizations. They will report on how they are handling access, enrollment, reporting requirements and payment issues. NPA staff will provide a national overview of these topics.

For up-to-date information about the agenda, visit the NPA website.
