NPI / Quality Systems Engineer - Version 1.0 (March 2017) Page 1 of 2 Position Information Job Title NPI / Quality Systems Engineer Business Area Arlington Automotive (NE) Summary of Position Reporting to the Quality Manager, the NPI / Quality Systems Engineer will look after quality management of all new projects connected to metal pressings as well as maintaining/developing all requirements related to achievement of quality and industry accreditations (such as TS 16949 / IATF 16949). This will include ensuring that all policies, procedures and processes within the metal pressings business meet the requirements. Core Responsibilities 1 Project management of all new projects in terms of press panel quality including; supporting product design/drawing reviews, prototype quality development, 2 To manage the quality system to ensure accreditation and continuity of accreditation to TS 16949 / IATF 16949, including management of the Staff Appraisal process, staff training system and staff role outline, responsibility and competency records. 3 Maintaining quality conformance at all stages of the product lifecycle. 4 Ensure control of raw material from development and through to PSW and co-ordinate technical support from steel suppliers. 5 Organise and manage the plant internal audit system and the corrective action reporting system. 6 Prepare for and support in external quality systems audits. 7 Management and generation of APQP processes and documentation. 8 Working with tooling suppliers to ensure they meet required quality standards. 9 Generate and maintain tool development records. 10 Development of checking fixtures/gauging in conjunction with calibration and Inspection Standards. Key Business Priorities for Role (inc KPI and Targets) 1 Develop/maintain effective Procedures & Processes to ensure full compliance to business accreditations 2 Achievement and maintenance of Industry standards required by the Company such TS16949 / IATF 16949, ISO9001 3 Audit requirements established for metal pressing site(s) and completed to schedule.
