The Framework has been developed by the Mental Health Workforce Development Sub-Committee of the Mental Health Program Council.

The purpose of a Competency Framework is to provide a coordinated approach to further developing the knowledge and skills of the mental health workforce and to enhance service provision.

The Framework is intended for use by both new and experienced NSW public sector mental health professionals working in mental health services across the lifespan.
