SYLLABUS ON NATIONAL TUBERCULOSIS CONTROL PROGRAM Topic: National Tuberculosis Control Program Placement: Level IV1st Semester, SY 2010-2011Time Allotment: 2 HourTOPIC DESCRIPTION: This topic focuses on the National Tuberculosis Control Program, its general and specific objectives, key policies, treatment, category and treatment regimen, and management of pulmonary patients who interrupted treatment. Moreover, it also discusses on the disease condition, the infectious agent, and mode of transmission, period of communicability, susceptibility and resistance and modes ofcontrolling the said disease. This also includes the strategies the government empowers and enforces to fight the occurrence and spread oftuberculosis.
