Nubi in muros de nalon

Every Summer I go on holydays to Muros de Nalon with my family because we have a house there and we like it very much.

This year, NUBI has come with us and it has been great!

The Principality of Asturias is an autonomous community in northern Spain.

Muros de Nalón is a small coastal municipality in the Spanish province of Asturias, with an area of 8.09 square kilometers.

It is bounded to the north by the Bay of Biscay, to the east by the river Nalón, to the south by Pravia and the west by Cudillero.

The eucalyptus tree is the town tree and occupies great parts of the slopes down to the coast.

It has coastline and its capital, with the same name, is just 2 Km from the Cantabrian Sea.

Muros used to be an old pilgrims´hospital. Two important buildings in the municipality are the Palace of Valdecarzana and Vallehermoso with a plateresquefacade of the 18th, and the Church of Santa María.

The square is elongated and irregular path. Presents: the church, the town hall and a number of buildings between popular and cultured.

Every Saturday there is a traditional market for fruit, vegetables, clothing and antiques.

It is possible to watch a panoramically view of the Asturiancoast from the Mirador del EspírituSanto.

There are two parishes (administrative divisions):- Muros de Nalón- San Esteban de Pravia

Muros de Nalón has a population of over 1.950 inhabitants, which mainly live in the two towns. The rest of the population is distributed in a few of rural farmhouses.

Muros´ landscape is characterized by the predominance of meadows and farmland as well as pine and eucalyptus plantations.

Furthermore, it has a dense network of watercourses. It has four wonderful beaches: La Atalaya, Las Llanas, El Xiloy El Aguilar which is the most famous of all.

If you like to walk, Muros has a beautiful “Senda costera” next to the sea which is visited by many tourists.

It took about 2 ½ hours by road. Almost all the way is the Cantabrian motorway.

Walking would take about eight days.

Asturias Airport is in Avilés. It is seven Kilometers from my house. Since Aguilar de Campoowould take us about an hour
