Recommendation: Recommend acceptance of bid from Southern Lock & Supply Co., as noted on attached bid tabulation sheet, as lowest and best, responsive and responsible “all-or-none” bid meeting written specifications. Term of Contract: This bid is for door closers “as needed” by the Maintenance Department for use throughout the District. This is a three-year bid renewable annually based upon mutual agreement of both parties. The first contract period shall be effective from February 8, 2006 to December 20, 2006. Notations and Exceptions: Recommend rejection of all lower bids because of failure to meet the written specifications for cast iron body and double heat treated pinions. Offers from the vendors listed herein are the only offers received timely as of the above opening date and time. All other offers submitted in response to this solicitation, if any, are hereby rejected as late.
